The Book of Boba Fett

Better than the last episode but still very little plot progression for the 'present' story. The best bit about this show so far are the flashbacks; if they want to dedicate this much runtime to his past, then they needed to make the episodes longer or have more episodes in the season to fit in the current events. It's 75% past and 25% him walking around with his helmet off doing not much at all.

You just summed up what I’ve been trying to work out about the show. It’s not a bad show, just not what I was expecting from Fett.

This is more sort of, Boba Flat.

Yep, he needs to be killed off at the end of that dreadful series. I'm sure Fennec will have a spin-off series...zeitgeist and all:sleep:

I'm always in the minority, but me & Little Man watched it this morning, & enjoyed it. I agree it was better than last week's, but I didn't hate that one either. I'm not going to go all in on what I liked & didn't, cause I don't think anything positive gets noticed, but, I will say that the final musical cue got me pumped.

Little Man even noticed it & ran & got his plush toy that played the same thing. LOL

This it pretty much my Wednesday mornings, & wouldn't trade it for the world. I hope it better explains my point of view on this show...

So time frame spoiler and confusion..

so now I’m totally lost.. mando season 1 is 5 years after rotj..

So has boba been living with the tuskens for 5 years? Doesn’t seem like the child tuskens has grown at all..

Totally and utterly confused by the time frame..

I don't think this week's flashbacks take place IMMEDIATELY after last week's. Based on what he said to the Bantha, I think they spent a fair amount of time, just the 2 of them.

I watched episode 3 again and saw the whole Krrsantan thing a little differently. I think they totally expected him to come but not quite when. Remember the Hutts warning to him to sleep lightly. Boba goes to the streets, hires the brats and told them they better know how to fight as good as they can talk. Fett is upstairs in the bacta tank, Shand and the group is on the lower levels. He knew Krrsantan was coming and i think Fett prepared for it and planned but maybe he wanted to see who he could trust...if the brats would fight or if he suspected treachery he could know, at the same time draw the Hutts to him. Boba, seems to me , to be pretty tactical but learning quickly that things aren't quite as easy as he thought...especially trying at all costs not to kill right now...but as you saw, he blew an assassin up with a missile..lol. A huge part of me wants to see people have a change of heart...something tells me Boba really wants that too, but you don't do that becoming a crime lord unless you are trying purpously to appear weak in order to draw in the crime syndicates to him instead of being a bounty hunter searching all the galaxy for individuals...I think he wants to get them all in one place to prove to everyone there that He is taking the whole establishment down and there is going to be a different Tatooine. Boba is about to go ballistic . If there isn't atleast a shade of that this week, then like i said before...I have no problem writing an apology to everyone on this thread for being the most overthinking, gullible bonehead on the planet for leading people on with false expectations and will never waste your time with my opinions on any thread concerning movies or shows and will go back to my lightsabers and props...lol. You have my word.

Disney milked our time and money with the ST...
They may decide to do it again with this show, but i don't think so
Rodriguez said he doesn't know if they will but if people like it they might extend it to 2 seasons depending on if people like it or not?
That's a little revealing isn't it? That would suggest Boba lives on wouldn't it...unless He's playing coy. He said the fans will be the first to know.
I just finished watching episode 4...The episode did do what i expected it to do...it did provide me a glimpse of what i needed to see moving forward and did confirm other points i made on this thread especially about how the Tuskens died...i knew there was no way the biker gang did it. The blaze of glory didn't happen...yet, but you can feel it brewing. Anyways, they have taken way too long to get here and i apologize to everyone one this thread for enduring my long opinions on this show especially my over enthusiastic hype. I have enjoyed so much humor and interaction with all of you...it's been a blast and i've anticipated this thread i think more than the show itself. With that, i'm a man of my word . I am the most overthinking, gullible bonehead on the planet for leading people with false expectations and will not waste your time with my opinions on this thread. I would like to leave you a gift because i have gotten some predictions right...so here is an encore:

Mos Espa Avenue(cover)

Boba killed poor Bib Fortuna
And there was no more Jabba the Hutt.
Boba now seems a bit older
and now he's rockin' a dad body gut
Oh, but he's gonna rock down to Mos Espa avenue
And then he'll visit Garsa's
Oh yes, gonna rock down to Mos Espa avenue
And then he'll visit Garsa's
from bounty hunter to a crime lord
don't know how deep in the Sarlacc he sank.
Deep in his heart he's a warrior
But know he lives in a bacta tank
Good God he better rock down to Mos Espa avenue
So he can visit Garsa's
Oh yes he better rock down to Mos Espa avenue
so he can visit Garsa's
Oh yes
Oh yes
Oh yes
Oh yes
Oh yes, he's gonna rock down to Mos Espa avenue
And then he'll visit Garsa's
Oh, he's gonna rock down to Mos Espa avenue
And then he'll visit Garsa's

Who is to blame on this planet
Is it the mayor or majordomo?
I guess it really doesn't matter
'cause Boba still reacts in slo mo
But yes, he's gonna rock down to Mos Espa avenue
And then he'll visit Garsa's
Oh yes, he's gonna rock down to Mos Espa avenue
And then he'll visit Garsa's
After the pit
After the Tuskens
After the Vespa's
In the dark side of town
Oh, he's gonna rock down to Mos Espa avenue
And then he'll visit Garsa's
He gonna rock down to Mos Espa avenue
And then he'll visit Garsa's

Oh no, you don’t get to just leave us like that. We need your input as much as anyone else’s.

We’re nothing without a tribe.

I agree that his time both with and after the Tuskens is probably longer than the show suggests. But I also agree with MaxZHun - they are trying to cram way too much into these episodes, and it makes the pacing and timing of events feel “off”.

Like, how long was Boba wandering around before he decided to try and reclaim Slave I? (Oops, I mean his Firespray gunship.)

Was he really just putzing around the desert for a few years without any earnest attempt to exact vengeance on the swoop gang? And that Pyke leader, who probably tipped off the swoop gang about the Tuskens? I wouldn’t expect Boba to let all that go unanswered just because he couldn’t get to his ship.

On a different note, who is “the bloated pig that double-crossed” Boba? Is it that Pyke leader? He hardly seemed like a “bloated pig.” Bib seems to fit that description far better, and a double-cross would explain why Boba just walked in and killed him without a word. But when could Bib have double-crossed him?

It seems like they had zero interaction since the Khetanna got blowed up, and Bib had no reason not to believe that Boba was either dead or flew the coop. Again, what have we yet seen Bib do to Boba that would merit summary execution like that?

Was Bib in cahoots with the Pykes? Did Bib/Pykes wipe out the Tuskens and pin it on the Kintan Striders? I feel like there are pieces missing here, and I can’t tell if it’s deliberate or if it’s just really poor, sloppy writing by Favreau.

Man, you have nothing to apologize for! I don’t think you’ve lead any of us on. None us knows where this is going and all we can do is speculate. That’s part of the fun. Enthusiasm and optimism aren’t bad. Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don’t!
