The Book of Boba Fett

Something else that bothered me is that Fett didn’t seem to suffer any ill-effects at all from that thrashing. He was punched full force by a crazy Wookiee wearing electrified knuckles and it didn’t even draw blood. That should’ve shattered his jaw and sent teeth flying. When BK bit(!) his hand, that would’ve cost a few fingers. Obviously I wouldn’t really expect them to go that far with it but he should’ve shown SOME signs that he had been crushed and thrown around like a ragdoll.

Nah, this is Fett we’re talking about. He’ll just add a few bath salts to his next bacta sleep and he’ll be fine!

I don’t think there’s anything I just loved but I thought the rancor looked really good. Seemed to be a much higher quality than the Hutts. I liked the “jump scare” of Black Krrsantan interrupting Fett’s bacta dream although I wish it had been more abrupt and the subsequent fight had been more brutal. How he managed to get there at all is another question though.

I still am wondering if we’re ever gonna know why Fett requires nightly bacta sessions though. That seems pretty extensive. I know the sarlacc is the obvious guess but he just didn’t seem that bad off in The Mandalorian and generally handled himself pretty well. I guess he hasn’t been the same since he got his butt kicked by Koska Reeves in that bar. I jest but it almost seems that way.
Maybe it's not from the Sarlacc? maybe it's from the Lizard...even if it's not in him anymore but i think the Lizard was more symbolic than literal because it was a dream

Who knows! Chronologically, so far we know he handled those Tosche station thugs easily, performed the train heist without much issue and he fought off those waves of stormtroopers on Tython…and we haven’t seen him handle himself well at all since the bar fight. I don’t really think the spat with Reeves means anything but that was the first time we saw him get roughed up a little in these shows and he hasn’t done anything impressive since.
When BK is captured in handcuffs, he's still wearing the energy knuckles lol. Love the attention to detail in this show lol. Oh Well...
I was literally thinking, “he could so break out of those handcuffs”. Lol!

On another note, something else I’ve noticed is the distinct lack of blaster usage. Other than the train heist and perhaps another isolated instance or two, almost all combat has been melee. I think we’ve seen more SW melee weapons and hand to hand combat than ever before. Even when BK is hanging over the rancor pit, Fennec uses a blade conveniently located in the stock of her rifle rather than just shoot him. They carry blasters around plenty but have hardly used them at all, even when the situation justified it.

Okay, this brings up something I’ve been thinking about…Since when is Mos Espa built in a hole? I never got that feeling outside of this series. Even if TPM’s sequences take place on the flatlands, they never mention or showcase the other portion of town being in a sink hole.

Why not introduce a new town if the design was going to change?

Yeah that’s been brought up before and I agree. I have no clue why they’re calling this place Mos Espa. I’m pretty sure there were some high angle shots of it in the PT and it looked nothing like this. In the EU, Bestine was the capital of Tatooine and would’ve been a better fit, imo. Otherwise, just create a new town we’ve never heard of.

Great points !!! I thought the same thing...perhaps because showing mercy he can attract more allies than enemies? who knows.
So it took the whole gang combined to get Krrsantan contained but 1 Gammorrian guard brings him out with no struggle.( i guess the imperials had no problem with 2 storm troopers escorting Chewie by himself so...)

They do say in TPM they are landing near the outskirts, and they don't seem to walk very far before they make it to Watto's.

Maybe? Although in that case I would’ve just set my blaster to stun and not fight at all. Lol! Even when the parkour ninjas had them boxed in, why not grab Fennec and jetpack outta there, and maybe take some shots at them along the way. Instead he uses one of his wrist rockets at near pointblank range, which seems to daze himself and then a hand to hand brawl commences. Lol! Just generally odd choices throughout.

Like Mando who should have grabbed his backpack, instead he runs up a hill to get Grogu...Most really good story tellers write backwards...but here is a case of thought processes that should have been written forward..."Mando is too late to rescue Grogu" how could he get there too late with his jetpack on? "well, we could find a way to have him take it off and forget about it". Huh? you mean the one that someone else tried too steal from him already? yeah...that one.

Lol! Yeah that wasn’t well thought out. One could argue that Mando was addled that his “baby” was getting kidnapped but like Fett, he should theoretically be used to high stress combat situations.

I always thought that meant they just parked the ship a distance away from town and then walked in, compared to using a docking bay, etc.

Still no centralized hole featured in the middle of town! :p

Not only that, but there was also a loud CRACK heard when BK squeezed the bejesus out of him before the Vespa gang arrived. Yet, a few minutes later he just sashayed down the stairs in his swanky bathrobe like he was unharmed.

Then again, in this universe a life-threatening near fatal head injury is treatable just with a simple bacta spray (Mando season 1 finale) so it shouldn't be surprising if a broken spine can be cured the same way.

Yeah true, although I wonder how capable bacta is at resetting vertebrae lol I could’ve bought it more if he had at least been assisted or had a limp, anything. Lol
It’s curious that the Mando gaff in this thread (leaving the jet pack behind) is in the episode directed by…Robert Rodriguez
Yeah I thought the same thing. I still feel like there’s more collaboration in writing than just Favreau and/or Filoni even if they’re the ones credited.

I know what the Mos Espa chase reminded me of:

What was ONE thing you REALLY liked about episode 3 TBOB? Mine, The Krrsantan grabbing Boba out of the bacta tank. So many plot questions arose for me.
I have been trying NOT to think of episode 3 too much, but if you’re asking it’s Baby Rancor. Wolfsburg is right, Boba should have needed a stretcher after the fight with Krrsantan (not to mention surgery and transfusions due to the internal injuries).

So, who do we think hired the Night Wind Assassins? Was it the Hutts and the Mayor was trying to cover it up (but also trying to make Boba think about it with his cryptic comment?) Maybe the majordomo spills the beans under interrogation this episode?
I thought the mayor was behind it.. I think the mayor is more dirty then we believe, he is a politician ;)
