Unless Mando is part of the hallucinations! It’s his subconscious mind remembering the time he was at a swap meet at Mos Espa and passed on the shiny Mando set from a Tridorian vendor.

But... in those dreams/mixed timelines we do keep seeing him inside the Belly of the beast, maybe that's how the Sarlaac digests its victims... with hallucigens ?

So in the recent Darth Vader comic that was in conjunction with the War of the Bounty Hunters, Crimson Dawn is reintroduced to the Galaxy by Qi'Ra. Long story short, Vader discovers that a particular Hutt is in-line with Crimson Dawn, and that their actions to attack the Executor makes Vader slaughter the entire Hutt Council, other than Jabba. So by the time Jabba dies, there is little to no structure in the Hutt Crime Family.

I'm hoping we get a more detailed explanation in the show, but I'm assuming that within those five years, all the other Hutts who are related to the original council were trying to reorganize. Now, perhaps the Twins quickly noticed that Bib Fortuna took the throne and promptly ensured that his rule was temporary and that at some point, they would resume their positions as Jabba's heir. But then that was screwed over when Boba killed Bib, which is where we're at now.

Thanks for the background. I actually read a little bit about that storyline, and if that’s what the show is going to follow, then the sudden appearance of the Twins makes a bit more sense.

But I gotta say - why on God’s green earth did the comics have to complicate Boba’s delivery of Han to Jabba like that?

Vader freezes Han. Vader gives Han to Boba. Boba gives Han to Jabba. Done.

I mean, I know the comics have to have stuff happen, but why have this mess with Han getting stolen from Boba, Qi’ra holding an auction, and Vader wanting to take Han back?

Maybe it makes more sense when you read the comics as a whole, but it just seems like the comics editorial staff took what should be a routine delivery and made it into a clusterfuck just for the sake of making it a clusterfuck.

On a serious note, the writers for TBOB and Mando have been great. No matter what ACTUALLY happens, i'd be shocked if we didn't like the ending.(even though i wanted this show never to happen, i wanted Boba to die in the Sarlacc). This show has me hooked, for sure and Mandalorian ...phenomenal!!!

My memory is fuzzy but I seem to recall in the EU, the sarlacc victims were kept alive in a nightmare fueled stupor, mixing memories from other victims and such. So that concept has existed at one point!

Definitely agree to a degree. What in general is difficult for me when it comes to comics is visualizing the stories and scenes and imagining the live-action versions of these characters speaking, moving, and doing all these events. For example, I find it hard to believe Darth Vader would actually balance on top of a rolly-polly droid shown in the recent Darth Vader issue. Like, if you showed me a screencap of live-action Vader on Cloud City and told me this man was going to balance on top of a droid like a circus performer, I wouldn't believe you.

I think that the comics are inherently restricted by how much visual storytelling they can achieve in small sections of a page, and as such, the way they communicate their stories are often jarring. However, I think the actual stories themselves can be adapted and made more believable if hypothetically they were made in live-action instead. If they filmed actual scenes of Boba needing to repair Han's carbonite stasis, having him stolen, and forcing Fett to travel to the Vermillion to crash an auction hosted by Qi'Ra and Crimson Dawn, I think it would be wayyy more convincing in Live-Action and most comics for that matter.

Just my take though.
