The Book of Boba Fett

Maille is really easy to make. Particularly butted maille.
Indeed... And I'm sure that important fact was extremely involved in the choice to bring the stupid 'Beskar-Mithril' it into the SW universe...

Its still cheaper and easier to buy up a crap ton of leftover renaissance costume chainmail in order to have a subcontractor split it up and repurpose it for a quick turnaround on gleeful fans than it is to start from scratch. And that's the kinda crap Disney do.. I mean they just did it with this show and all its story elements *shrug*

Actually have a friend who primarily works in chainmail from the LotR community, who's in a chainmail making FB group with the fabricator of Grogu's who hand made it. Was kind enough to list the specs about the ring sizing but since deleted the post for reasons unknown. From my friend:

"They used welded steel, I think they bought the metaltek stuff, cut it to the size, and did HP3 along the neckline, ring size 22g 5/32."

Naah I’m in it for the props. Been this way since ep8.. have no more hopes for any future Star Wars projects. Just sit back and watch for props my friends made
Exactly. This is why I’ll never leave Star Wars. The props are too interesting!

So, could one of your friends get my script for a re-boot of The Greatest American Hero into the hands of someone down there?

All I have to say is this:

Clearly.

Also he could slip it on feet first!

I also find it hilarious that people are dogging on the fight scenes when this exists.

Sorry not sorry, that will never NOT be funny to me. Blah blah blah, "room for improvement"...not when they are heavily relying on the source material. ALL of the source material.

If this was a movie I paid $20 for in the theater, I'd feel a little more let down. For a tv show, it's not as bad as some other stuff I've watched.

I like that we are ditching Luke. We got to see him at his prime and we know why he failed: he dealt in absolutes. It sucks, but it is what is now. After Desolation of Smaug, Battle of Five Armies and Last Jedi, I don't set the bar high anymore. And I still haven't watched Rise...don't intend to. I still think this is some decent SW. Not the greatest, but not that terrible.

I'm excited for the story of all the Mandalorians to continue, I find them far more interesting and actually fully enjoy Boba and Din together. Now make Fennec an honorary Mando and we're squared. If they do a second season of Boba, I'd give it over to Bryce. Rodriguez is just...not good.
I agree with you but just can't fathom why RR is so bad at this...
I've been a fan through the Desperado years then the Spykid movies with my kids which knocked all the crappy Little Vampire and Beethoven type movies of the time out the park.Maybe after the excellent Planet Terror he burned himself out with Quentin?
It is a TV show yes but I don't think they could decide who it was aimed at. Hawkeye was similar to start with....I really did not like it but the last three Episodes ramped up the Action and was very cinematic.
It can't have been cheap to make.
A lot of blame could be as We discussed on another thread the use of P. poor extras who look wooden act wooden and can stink a scene up at twenty paces...
They were shuffling long everywhere like a school trip not like their lives depended on it... unless they wanted screen time.

Fennec taken in as a Mandolorian...interesting.
I kind of like it.

I've never been a huge fan of Jango but was open to the possibility of Boba being great. TBOBF has sealed the fact that OT Fett is sufficient, no more is necessary. Not with Morrison. If he absolutely must appear more in the Mandalorian he should be sidelined. I just don't care what happens to him at all and feel like his presence is a waste of time that could be used on far better characters. A good deal of episodes 5& 6 were enjoyable as well as snippets of the prior episodes so I can't say this series was a complete waste. Even if it feels like it was in this moment lol.

I don't want to have to pick apart SW, to only be able to enjoy snippets of new content and ignore the rest. That kind of sucks. I find it strange that fans are ok with that and so willing to make excuses for sub par content. To each their own I suppose. With that said I won't loose sleep over it as nothing Lucasfilm does can take away my passion for SW. Even ridiculous retcons don't really change the past content. Luke and Boba Fett aren't ruined, the new interpretations of them are lol. My copies of the OT/EU/PT/CW/Rebels are still intact as is the way I look at them and will remain so. I'm still giving new SW a chance because it's SW.

Really looking forward to season 3 of Mando especially if they bring Cad Bane into it.

Boba should name the Rancor "Mongo", because shooting him only makes him mad ...

I wish they had let Garsa survive the blast in the last episode, and be part of the fighters in this one.
Her involvement could also have been made into a reason for staying in the blasted-out The Sanctuary.
(I had expected that the bombing would have been a reason for also having citizens of Mos Espa turn against the Pykes, but apparently not.)
