The Book of Boba Fett

I was always fine with Tem being the visage of Boba since we’ve seen Jango at 40ish years old…and it’s Tem. Boba is a clone of Jango, so it makes sense. Of course Tem is 60 and not 40 but his ordeals are enough to explain away his more aged appearance in my book.

I just think they should’ve been more selective in how he was utilized for this. Of course, this could’ve all been a moot point if the helmet had just stayed on. Water under the bridge now though…
Give it a few years and we might get "The abridged Special Edition Book of Boba Fett"

On the matter of Dan Logan I thought him mention about having some involvement in a then Future series...maybe it was just those Bacta dreams..

I feel there's room for one more... if it doesn't slow the story down.

I like Tem and wish (maybe as he does) he would have been portrayed differently. The train and the biker gang in the bar were memorable scenes but the remaining scenes that stand out to me were ridiculous or humorous- Vespa scooter gang, teaching Tuskens to ride bikes and bunny droid. Which is just weird for a character I thought was going to be super intimidating. (Trying to change expectations in my brain…)

Ep2 I think was my favourite so far...we got a lot of Action story progression..shame it was All flashbacks and not told linear..maybe The Mouse thought viewers would get confused lol...

I was poking fun but I think Tem really does look good. I often think of these actors getting in ridiculous shape for movies using a personal trainer and super strict diet, but in between this happens…

Looking at you, Vin Diesel.

When I was a kid I was 'oooh Yoda fights!' Then as I got older that became 'ugh, Yoda fights.....'

And now realize that George was trying to show something. Showing a different Yoda. Showing how Yoda has changed. He was once a great warrior, he was battlefield general. But now he dismisses the idea of war and being a great warrior. I like how The Clone Wars and Rebels shows that transition mentality. One of my favorite lines from Rebels comes from his talk with Ezra. "Win? Win, hmm. How Jedi choose to win, the question is."
I agree -- but I feel that transition should have happened a lot longer ago than in the Prequels. Maybe the Stark Hyperspace War or some other pre-TPM conflict that got filled in later as backstory, after we were introduced to Yoda in ESB...

At this point im just pretending this never happened and maybe some years down the line we'll get the Wolverine "Logan" treatment for Boba like he rightfully deserves... Seemingly gonna be a similar bumpy road if it ever happens at all. Till then hes still in the pit in my book

Somehow Disney, Favreau and Filoni managed to make that a less embarrassing story that what we have now. Well done...
This garbage is Kingdom of the Crystal Skull bad in TV show form

Alright. Predictions.

I actually agree almost entirely with CelticRuins but here goes.

I think we’ll see a battle, but not the whole war. Definitely leaning towards a cliffhanger ending, but maybe not quite like episode 6. (I’ll come back to this).

Boba vs Cad Bane for sure. Though not the end of their rivalry. (I hope. What a waste to Cad Bane’s character if he dies)

Edit: I forgot to include Fett riding the Rancor. But I also think that Danny Trejo is a spy and will turn the Rancor against Fett.

Garza is dead, Cobb Vanth lives and brings the town’s people. The unnamed Tusken Warrior Lady shows up towards the end of the battle (a la Eomer at Helm’s Deep) with more Tusken warriors to save a lost battle.

IF there are any more surprise cameos it’d be Bossk as a surprise enemy vs Black Krrsantan.

Luke shows up towards the end of the fight to drop off Grogu, who has chosen Mando (Duh).

The Pikes leave Tatooine, but promise retribution. Some filler dialogue about what Mando will be doing next season (related to the darksaber and Mandalore).

AFTER CREDITS SCENE
Boba learns the name of the Pike’s master, and alludes to his continued journey to defeat the Syndicate. Name drop here is either Qi’ra, or Crimson Dawn with the implication for the fans of Qi’ra. Setting up TBOBF Season 2.

You already know my predictions. ;)

BTW, recently I came across another book: The Book of Cad Bane's Kills. Even though it has very little text it's an interesting read. Here is a sample page:

kills.jpg

The appendix says that he killed 17 Jawas but he killed Jar Jar Binks - THREE times! And Jar Jar is still around!

For the last episode it's pretty safe to say at some point we're going to see Fett riding the Rancor to fight the Pike Syndicate which is either going to look really cool or be hilariously bad lol. Win win. I really hope there's a larger scale battle, we haven't had much in that department.

I think Vanth's death might be necessary to give Mando a grudge against him. I like Vanth as a character and would like to see more of him but if he isn't dead already he probably will be before the end of episode 7. If Mando doesn't fight Bane in this episode they'll be setting up him as a Villain for season 3 of the Mandalorian.

I have a feeling that Fennec is going to betray Fett as she doesn't seem to actually care about him and is just there out of obligation. That would give things a bit more interest. Maybe it would push Fett over the edge and he'll go back to being a ruthless bounty hunter.

Ok, I’ve spent several seconds thinking about this. My predictions for tomorrow.

The war begins.

Grogu takes both the saber and the armor, flips Luke a bird and tells him to go stuff himself.

Mando is joy riding his new sports car and forgets about the fight and when he remembers, is low on gas and can’t get back in time.

Luke seeks Mando out and hands him Grogu who jumps into the back bubble telling Mando he has an awesome laser sword. To which Mando replies his is bigger, which sets off a fun-loving pissing match between dad and son.

Boba goes against the Pikes and gets his butt handed to him.

Vanth comes in, pissed, drops Bane’s head at the feet of the Pikes, who only have seconds to react before they too are all dead at his feet.

Vanth tells Boba that there are no more crime bosses and his stripes tell them all that he’s done screwing around with anyone.

Boba bows, hands the keys to the palace to him and opens a chicken shack in Mos Poopsa, which boasts “The best chicken in 12 parsecs, using a special blend of herbs and SPICES”.

Black Chewbacca loves chicken and decided to run the counter.

Shand decides to work at Pep Boys so she can get her abs lubed whenever needed.

Also RE: The new poster

Luke Skywalker is in an outfit that we’re never seen. Looks identical to PT Jedi garb, but in all black. 100% going to see him again. (Not that anyone actually said we weren’t, but this confirms for me.)

Yeah I noticed that. He's wearing thay kimono style tunic as opposed to his shirt with the mandrin collar. Does he wear this combo in the episode? I don't remember now.

EDIT

I'm pretty sure he does wear that combo in the episode.

I thought about this almost immediately upon seeing Trejo too!

I feel like he'll try to get the Rancor to go after Boba, but at the last minute Boba does some move, gets on top of the Rancor and subdues it. Then points him directly towards Trejo, to eat.

Cause he always dies in almost every movie he's in!

The hit to the shoulder would have had to blast his arm clean off and have him die of blood loss, I'd think. Now Boba can just show him to the teenagers and Vanth will end up with a modded arm, in place of armor. Giving him back his "edge" to keep Freetown fully safe.

As for Fennec, it did cross my mind that she could double cross him, but I don't think so. In Bad Batch she could have easily been much like Cad Bane towards Omega, but she was actually friendly in Fennec standards. I think she does owe Boba her life and is just in that regard. Plus she could have easily parted ways from Boba after she helped him get his armor back, but she continued to help Mando. I think she's True Neutral in the end. And she has beef with Bane. If she was playing the long con, that means she's teamed up with Bane some how. I dunno if I see that working out.
