Last I heard they used original molds for that puppet
See I remember seeing a video on YouTube them even showing the original molds being pulled out of a create and saying they cloned themNew sculpt and new molds. Still as wonky as the Ep. I muppet. I think there was BTS video of this on Youtube. Dunno if it was taken down though.
I didn't have a problem overall with the design, but the pasty-blue color just looked off to me. The extra pointy teeth missing from the CW character design does make him scarier to a degree, but they really do need to darken his skin tone a shade or two. We really don't know how they age since we've only peripherally been introduced to them as a species.Yeah the age thing just doesn’t bother me. There are any number of potential explanations as to why he looks older than 40.
As for Cad Bane, like I said, what they did looked fine but if I were to change anything, it would’ve been to make him look more in line with the the live action ones in ANH (and not the cartoon). Greyer skin, darker red eyes with horizontal pupils, etc. The cartoon version was flatout blue with red glowing eyes, which was a miss too, imo although it could be chalked up to the “stylized” nature of TCW. I am glad live-action Bane at least has a more muted shade of blue. He is 70ish now so it could be an age thing, depending on how Duros age. Should his mouth be lower, yeah probably but it didn’t personally bother me that much. His characterization was spot-on I thought.
That’s weird because I could’ve sworn I read they had used the original mold. The problem I had read was that OT Yoda was altered after the fact so the mold didn’t necessarily match exactly what he looked like on screen. I think his upper lip was reshaped, etc. Regardless, I thought TLJ Yoda looked off and not quite right but it was nice to see Frank Oz play him one last time (I assume).New sculpt and new molds. See I swear I have seen this too.. it was in a video, I remember seeing how messed up the mold was, there was even decayed left over skins (pulls) in the same crateThat’s weird because I could’ve sworn I read they had used the original mold. They used a folk lift to bring the crate down
I remember the video I’m digging three Star Wars YouTube channel but can’t find it.. I’m wondering if it was a feature on celebration live streamyeah I don’t recall where I heard that!

I like this a lot
I think I just saw this.. let me go find it againThey may have tried to use the original molds at the beginning but it's definitely a new sculpt that wound up on screen. There's photos of it being sculpted for the production based off of screencaps out there on the internet somewhere. It's pretty well documented that the original puppet of Yoda had the lip extension applied afterwards. There's a short documentary on the man that was actually responsible for making the lip called "Do or Do Not."
This is what I found, thank god for YouTube history
Thanks!
(I also highly recommend this man's other documentaries, too)
That’s the idea right now.. but just like wolf said, Anakin kills him and his two little friends
