The Batman

Yeah that is definitely canon and referenced in the Arkham Knight video game. The bug yellow symbol is meant to draw the eyes in so enemies would shoot his chest where the armor is thickest.
Yeah, I read that too. Of course, the very idea is completely ridiculous. I mean, Bats isn’t just going to stand there and let himself get shot. He’s going to move FAST to disarm you. So you‘re nervous, aiming a gun at Batman, he’s moving to take your gun, brother, you had better have damned great aim with a steady hand to come anywhere NEAR that emblem!

Could we please get five or six more shots of Pattinson with his head tilted down slightly, looking up, shadows accentuating his cheeks and masseter muscles. *sarcasm*

I want to make a trailer with the Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines opening flops and crashes, cutting to Pattison doing that same dang pose/look over and over after each one.

You know I originally disliked the new Batmobile but I also felt the same way about the Tumbler until I saw it in action. This new version reminds me of the Adam West version now they we've seen footage of it, which I think is pretty cool. That shot of the Penguin's car being flipped caught me off guard and the references to us seeing an unhinged young, reckless Batman is an interesting take.

The idea of him wearing armor behind the chest symbol has been around at least since the The Dark Knight Returns comic book in the 80s.

I haven't read any spoilers and know nothing about the plot but based on what we're seeing in this trailer I'm theorizing that the Riddler is Thomas Wayne's illegitimate child and this is why Bruce is being targeted.

Yeah, I'm sure it's gonna be something along those lines. Maybe he's illegitimate or maybe the Waynes just harmed him in some way. Besmirching the Wayne parents is a fresh approach for mainstream Batman flicks.

It makes sense with the Riddler being smarter than the usual villain. He's one of the few who might be able to figure out Batman's identity. And being discovered from that direction (by somebody investigating Bruce, rather than somebody investigating Batman) is a realistic storyline IMO. Most of Bruce's security efforts would logically be oriented around blocking investigations into Batman.

I hope the Riddler doesn't reveal Batman's identity during the movie and then Bruce pulls some stunt at the end to throw off suspicion. I hate that storyline because it's implausible. Once the idea (Bruce Wayne = Batman) was planted in the public's mind, there would be no getting rid of it.

I'd imagine his origin would have to be referenced but I'm guessing it's not the focus which would be a nice change. It's one of the reasons I'm kind of bored with Spider-Man because his origins have been explored multiple times in film.

Isn’t this basically the plot to the Joker movie? Even if it isn’t, I don’t think I’d want to see that.
