I'm stuck on sewing the mask, this is what i did, mark the external webbing in the back of lycra then try to sew. If someone with experience on this can you tell me if i need to cut following the web and then sew or le ave the red excess part?View attachment 350600

Although I haven't sewn Ken's file yet, I can tell you that you need to leave the red excess part. You can cut it if you want after you sew the mask completely. But for now, leave it like that.

The outer web-line (the one where your scissor is pointing) is the sewing line. That's where the thread goes when you sew it.

Notes: Anyone correct me if I'm wrong on this because I've only sewn Orhadar's mask and this was the process I did.

Hey guys, i just got my print from a local printing company, after a test swatch i retouched the Red a bit 'cause the original it's too much light and orange, but i think this is due 'cause every printing company have different colors settings so i can't speak for FOD; The Blue is original Ken's file. Here are the pics:

The separated Mask that you can see is the original file, i use it for testing...

What can i say! I'm very happy and i can't thank enough Ken for his effort to provide us this fantastic piece of work!

P.S. : Photos are taken from Iphone 5, in natural light.

Wow man. Nice print. Did you alter the brick pattern at all?

I coated the shooters in primer and then black spray paint, they're very smooth now, have placed masking tape on areas and now they're ready for painting !! View attachment 334978Obviously they're not pretty for the moment but they're darn smooth

Wow. Very impressive. Did you do any sanding at all? and any updates on how they look now? Plus what primer would be the best? (I want mine to look like yours haha)

I have a question for anybody who is willing to kind of help me out some. I've searched all over this thread to see about really how to print just the mask file but I had no luck, so I really would appreciate if someone can help me out. Okay, so I want to print just the mask .jpg file on lycra from Fabricondemand.com, but when I go through to ask about printing it should I just print the mask on just 1 yard of lycra? Would it all fit on there right?

The entire mask should fit on one yard. However it is suggested that you don't do that as there will be a lot of excess material and so you will be wasting some money. But it's your choice. A yard should fit it

Alright, so then would I just get it print it on like half a yard or?? Lol Im really sorry I'm asking all sorts of questions

I think the minimum is 1 yard. So it's usually suggested to get the suit printed as well and add the mask file to it. But if you don't have the money for that you can get the mask printed alone. And don't worry I'm always happy to help

Ken, If I use the provided link to fabric on demand that you posted in the first post.. is it going to fit me? I'm 6'1"

It "should" but I would welcome anyone else who is over 6 foot to comment. Worst case you have to enlarge it a to 101.4%... though I can't imaging it making that much of a difference.

Anyone?

Hey everyone, little update. Tweaked kens updated file, I'm baffled of which to use my new version of the updated file or my updated version of the older file I was using,
Here are the two.
This is the updated file with my tweaks.

My older version of the file

Tweaked my file a bit more.
Was using the eye dropper tool on various pictures of stills from the movie and the con, and was trying to tweak my file to match the eyedropper and used colorhexa to get a mini swatch sampler of the color.

I've been preparing to send my file to FOD. I added the extra mask file jpg to the main psd file and the colors are slightly different.
I converted to PSD to Photoshop Default CMYK 5 and kept the colors on the PSD the same. Anyone know what went wrong?

I'm sorry if this is somewhere in the thread but I can't find it. What is the height that the pattern as is will fit for, before scaling? Is it 5'8"? I think it was but I can't seem to locate the post.
