Yep, 3D checkers. Those were actually made in the '60s, you can buy 'em. They're called "Space Checkers" I think.

As to additional uniforms... yeah there are a ton more outfits we haven't even discussed yet. The ubiquitous coveralls, as was mentioned. McCoy's surgical tunic...

Some more shots of those 3rd season polyester knits that some people seem to like.

Another good McCoy shot, and also Kirk's first-season wrap with the braid on his shoulder. Giving him the excuse to say, "no braid on my shoulder".

Kirk's second season wrap, from "The Apple". The first version of this wrap, used only briefly, was without the thin black collar.

A shot of Kirk's braid, from "Corbomite Maneuver".. this was the FIRST episode to be filmed, so it's kind of early for the braid to be so bunched up... but maybe we're seeing it on the second day of shooting, and it was already too late...

Formal dress uniforms, seen quite often in the first season. These are from "Space Seed."

Interestingly Scotty's dress outfit here includes PANTS. He only wears the kilt in the third season, I think.

Speaking of oddball suits, here's a guy in some kind of fireproof suit... there were lots of cutaways to "the crew" dashing down corridors, climbing ladders and such, in the early first season. These shots are from "The Man Trap" (but note that the two guys are wearing "Cage" or "Where No Man" tunics)

This woman is wearing the rare "pants" version of the female tunic (this may be the costume made for that scene in "Charlie X" where Charlie turns a young woman "old" by looking at her)....

Do we know if the gold bordered insignia were embroidered on gold leatherette like the others? I'm planning to custom embroider them, and I want to get it right the first time.
