TFA Reys Star destroyer found part.

Hi there, thank you so much......it's work in progress, but it's pretty close to the reference I have.
Can't wait for the original parts to arrive......I'll post pics of the final article when I've completed it.

Might be a bit big....Another option for the top piece

Well, I used the arrow nock I had on hand, but filed the points off the tips and dremelled in a detail line.

So unless the real part is found, I'm calling this finished for now. :)

It's not exactly the same colour as the onscreen one, but as I'm using a real collet instead of a resin cast one, there's no way I'm painting it. So everything else had to be painted to match the collet

The secret is that they're not joined! Couldn't bring myself to alter the collet in any way (including permanently gluing anything to it) as its such an oddly beautiful piece of engineering in itself. So the top is just sitting on the collet, which is perfect as its just gonng to be on display in a detolf.

Ok, so I saw the screwdriver set in Poundland today and had to buy one! Now on the hunt for the collet. I have found one that is MC13 and as Howlrunner mentioned earlier in the thread, all the MC sizes seems to be the same, apart from the inside diameter. Can anyone confirm this?

I have also found a PDF drawing that shows one outer size, again, apart from the inside diameter (flick to page 23) http://www.industrialmanuals.com/ma...ausing bernerd collets dimensional prints.pdf - anything above MC5 seems to be ok as MC5 and below only have 6 fins.

Possibly confirmed this on my own but just wanted to check if anyone has different sized ones to hand, before I buy the MC13 size...

All the MCs are the same concerning the outside dimensions. I got a good couple of them, the only difference is the inner diameter, indeed.
