Tesseract Captain America

Anyone know anything about this? is it really the original screen used tesseract?

Yes it is, one of them anyway, but that's a heck of a lot more than he paid for it and he listed it pretty soon after winning it, so I assume it was to try and flip it for quick profit, but as somebody else said in another thread: if it didn't sell for more than a few thousand at the huge profile, highly advertised auction event that many fans would pride themselves on knowing about, its hard to imagine that anybody would pay a crazy price now, when they didn't want to bid it at the time. He's also "sold" it a couple of times, but it gets relisted pretty soon after

Yeah I want to say that only went for like $3000 or so in auction, who in their right mind would spend 15K on that now?

yeah I was thinking that too, its cool in the movie but at the end of the day without the ice blue light tint coming from it, its only a square block of clear resin. Now if it came glowing, thats a different story!

the person who is selling it has been relisting it since he originally bought it. He bought a few key props and paid a ton for them and has been trying to flip them ever since. It's 100% legit. He did sell it once but the person backed out of the deal.

That's what happens when you buy props to flip for profit.

I have a real one :)

I'd love to know more about it, it doesn't appear to be any of the originals I'm aware of. I was bidding at the time for one of these, I thought there was just the 6 made available, did I miss an auction? :cry

These are all the cubes that were available, and 2 of the cubes went to the same buyer.

2 - Decoy cubes from the church scene
2 - Electronic cubes
1 - Plain cube that is trying to get auctioned off again - its in the firs post and sold originally for $3000
1 - Spent cube (it's half of a melted cube) that came with the carrier
1 - Full spent cube that came with a carrier

Those were the only ones released to the public. Hugo Weaving has one and so does Joe Johnston.

I'm curious as well about the cube that was posted by The Prop Collector because all of the cubes were see through to an extent. This looks way to frosted to be any of them even the decoys (they had the color swirl in them).

If the same item is repeatedly relisted, I'd be concerned he was getting his friends to bid up people's maximums and then cancelling.
