Terra Nova?

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I was kinda surprised when Taylor finally started spilling his guts about what is going on. I was like--wow, they are actually advancing the plot, right here, right now. Not making us wait years for answers that never come (ie LOST).

But like you said, whether or not he is telling the truth is another matter.

I like the show. It's not Phillip K Dick science fiction, but I enjoy it. If there were anything better on at the same time tho, I'd probably skip it. I've seen all the Family Guys at least a hundred times so at least this is new for me. Plus, House comes on right after it. You can never go wrong with House.

Yeah from what I saw this was the first Episode I liked from what I saw of it.

I was busy deep-frying some more turkeys and was running back and forth from the garage

Half way decent episode and I am half ass watching it

Go figure!! :lol

I thought last nights wasn't too bad. They FINALLY addressed the what it's all about part. Question being if it's true or not.

I can see it now, we'll all say, FINALLY this thing is getting good and then....

End of season.

Then not only do you have to wait nearly a year for it to resume, you've gotta wait 6 months to find out if it WILL resume...

I was thinking the same thing only not end of season but flat out cancellation.

:lol Totally. Someone learned his lesson. ;)

The dilemma they built is really awesome.

1) Send people back in time to give the human race another shot, but only a small number of elite and lottery winners can survive.

or

2) Send people back in time to establish a settlement whose purpose is to take resources and bring them back to feed and help the dying population live longer and maybe even have MORE people survive

Of COURSE there are going to be elitists in the future who get to control the supplies that come in and of course you have to keep it a secret what you're really doing so that the rif raf public doesn't demand equal access to the supplies - or there would be mayhem!

So, right now, I can see BOTH sides of this argument with both the Sixers and Taylor having a 'right' that they are fighting for and both seeing the other side as being bad.

Taylor because he has a god-complex and is power hungry and Mira/Lucas because they are working for greedy liars.

I really love this show!!

I seem to be in the minority here but I've enjoyed the show, maybe just have lower expectations lol. I think they have kept up a large enough viewership to warrant a second season but knowing Fox they will screw it up somehow.

I like this show also. It really has started to gel in the last few episodes, and I really am looking forward to, at the very least, a few seasons of this. It has great potential as a full-fledged gem! It takes a while for a show to come into it's own and get momentum; something studio corporate-heads don't seem to understand.

I actually thought last nights episode was all right so we know what that means. :lol

Good one! They are moving the story right along and away from the episodic formula!

Also, my 10 year old is satisfied with the dinasour count this week so we are back on track with a show the entire family loves! :D

The show has finally picked up for me and definitely looking forward to the season finale...

I really hope that the show will get renewed for another season...

I just started the show, and made it to current in about 2 nights. I've really enjoyed it. I had heard it touted as Mad Max meets Jurassic Park, but I don't see that at all. The only things that bug me are the angsty emo son, and the made up dinosaurs. but, I got over the made up dino irritation fairly quickly. It's a fun show, and I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with it. Hopefully it meets a better fate than Firefly.

That seems to be everyones main gripe with the show. The good news is later on in the season it gets toned down a bit but he's still very annoying.

Lucas is way worse. The idea of Taylor's son had such cool potential, with all the science and maybe wanting to do something better and beyond what Taylor was doing - I was so looking forward to him coming into the show.

Oh, so this is just more mad at dad syndrome?

He reminds me of Anakin in Revenge of the Sith... :unsure

UH! Lucas... just caught that. Maybe that's what they intended.:lol

Like all shows, some episodes are BIG, and some are small. Meaning, they do some bigger budget shows and some lower ones to keep mixing up the production value look. The episode where they were trapped in the Eye was an example of a small budget ep. If there are CG dinos, you know it is one of the bigger ones. The writing also is all over the map. I think that's intentional. Plus the teen love angst eps are pretty mawkish, unless you are a teen viewer, I guess.

Al-in-all I think it is watchable-to-good so far. I like the story arc picking up speed with some answers salted through the eps.

I'm curious if the show's been canceled already... the 2 hour season finale looked like it's answering all the questions asked this season, all in 1 big battle. If we don't have anything to keep us going...

I watch it for entertainment. I don't really enjoy it, but hey, it's a cool idea and since Stargate Universe died and SG-1 isn't on Hulu anymore, what more do I have to watch?
