Terminator Reference

Firstly allow me to thank RPF for this fantastic forum and to the contributors both the professionals and the fans who continue to make this resource so interesting.

I watch with interest some of the threads debating the merits and accuracy of props, parts and originals and its always good to see such healthy debate when considering this art form. Its always important to remember that with some props (especially those build before computer aided milling and visualization) there can be any number of variants - each made for different reasons and uses. Just because one hero had a specific part, it doesn't necessarily mean that another version - made for a different use - would have exactly the same item included. The second might have relied on something that just looked similar for screen use.

Its also safe to say that some of the work that the fans have featured here is often better in quality and execution than the original prop ever was and thats what makes this forum (in my opinion) a celebration of some of the most astonishing work around. My warm thanks to all.

There have been a number of threads debating the Terminator Endo and I thought that for my first post, it might be interesting to put some images up for your reference.

In the thread "Real Terminator Endo Skull" (http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=45705), Jason posted a fabulous analysis featuring his Blue-Ray stills and quotes from Jody Duncan's book - The Winston Effect.

Likewise, the thread "1:1 Terminator Bust" (http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=44595&highlight=terminator), Simmon M featured his Arnold bust.

I'm not going to debate the accuracy of either of these (and many other) threads but perhaps these images will give each person interested a few more reference pix of the later part of the saga.

These are all from Stan's Studio either from the boardroom or from the factory. They show clearly the detail of Arnold's skin, the damage to his face and obviously the Endo. Enjoy....

Please click on the thumb for a high-res version of the image.

Thanks for posting the great pics.

Are these from T3?

Thanks again,

Jason

Cheers All :)

Yep Jason. Those are some of the full size elements from T3 in Stan Winston's Studio...

The Arnie is simply astonishing. The skin coloring and detail is beyond brilliant.

BTW. Stan's boardroom is the coolest in Hollywood. There is a raised floor that surrounds the room at about the height of a normal ceiling. All around the room (on the floor) and also on the upper level are figures, creatures and animals. Edward Scissorhands, Alien, Predator, Jurassic Park - you name it its there. They all look inwards towards the table..

I dont have anything to say...except...feeling faint .....going to pass out now.................................................................................
