Terminator: Genisys

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

Who are these idiots who are sitting on these franchises?

Dinosaurs with guns... can you scream rip-off loud enough? Jurassic Park isn't about indestructible creatures with guns... it's about breathing, living, cloned animals and the issues regarding bringing back dead lifeforms from extinction and the hazards of bringing back something you cannot control. Since *Site B* is now a sanctuary for these creatures... can we get away from the monster chase scenario please - it's already done and done better... the only natural direction would either to stop while things haven't been ruined completely... or... find a proper reason to go back to the island and not have it be a chase movie, but to show off the dinosaurs as large, majestic animals trying to survive in a time, where they really have no natural defenses. The first one dabbled with the dinos getting sick all the time and the vet and people working there trying to figure out how to make them withstand present day bacteria. The debate could be whether to just let them die out as they are just genetically engineered clones and not really the actual animals... or, try to save them and create a natural reserve where nature photographers and such can go shoot Animal Planet documentaries and a force of park rangers trying to keep poachers out. Now THAT is a Jurassic Park I'd love to see. But I guess I'm in a minority, as people seem to prefer the chase scenario and don't think anything more than that can be added to the franchise: just brute, dumb monsters chasing people for 10 minutes for no apparent reason - certainly not for food, as we are nothing more than a tiny appetizer... so why do they waste that much energy when they get so little out of the chase? STUPID.

You could make a great dramatic movie that actually has some depth and meaning from that... and not just stay locked in the same-ol'-same-ol' chase scenario. Hell... you feel more fear seeing an elephant charge you, stop and threaten, than you do watching these dinosaur-monsters run around like pea-brained idiots through metal fences and doors without hurting.

"with the rumored plot focusing on government-owned dinosaurs that carry weapons into battle."

"I have one simple request; and that is dinosaurs with FRICKIN' LASER BEAMS ATTACHED TO THEIR HEADS!!!"

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

Fast 6 will need to explain Letty surviving the explosion, how Dom gets back in with her touch after cruising Tokyo, where Brian goes off to after the 24 hour headstart, and how Sean will fit in after just running into Dom from knowing Han.

Yea, it needs its own trilogy to fit all that in. Just give me more Eva Mendes and i'll watch. Well... We'll see

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

i dont see why arnie shouldnt be able to pull this off???

heres a pic of him during his government time:

only because there is this pic of him all flabby and stuff, which is a lot of years old, is only because he had operation and couldnt work out.

as a matter of fact he is in great shape and im pretty sure he can pull it off

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

Despite his ability to *spring back* physically,Arnold's professional reputation is in the S*&%#!#^ books.I think it'll be a good, long while before you see him on screen again.I'm basing this partially on his interviews (after the fact),but then again...he could be the come back king?Who knows what the future holds?

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

He was on the news, dedicating a museum in Austria in the house he was born in. No running water, big dreams, blah blah...

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

FYI, Ahnohld has been getting back into shape. I seen him earlier this week riding a bike and he was looking fairly pumped. Muscle memory is a hell of a thing. I seriously doubt its for a Terminator film but probly more for the Expendables and the "little film".

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

unless Ahnohld plays a human, I want 1984 Ahnohld. anything less will be a let down. I would like to see a CGI 84 Ahnohld like in tron, I think it will look better because he dos not talk as much as klue did. how dos eveyone else feel about this?

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

I just hate the idea of a 60 year old terminator, when they are all should look the same as the 84 one in the first movie.

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

if i remember correctly, they dont all look the same. somewhere it was mentioned that they picked the arnold one because of john connor being familiar with it. so why not make an older one when it plays much later, just for the familiarity, to have some connection point for john connor or sth

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

yeah....we should really need another terminator film with arnold......not

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

But they had a chance to do a new series with John Connor and they blew it. Christian Bale was perfect for John Connor, they just hired the wrong writers and director obviously.

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)
