Have the correct one at my home in California, but I'm it Texas now.
Had to settle for a different-shaped clear plastic one, spray-painted gold...

Spray paint the whole gun bright orange?
no, bad idea I suppose even a card board cut out "gun" would be a bad idea.
Taking fake guns outside is abit of a no-no here as well.
Especially after this past summer when a 10 year old kid, with down syndrome got shot and killed by Swedish police. He was holding a fake gun. They fired some twenty-something shots... 4 hit him and... :cry :facepalm

Thought of making one out of wood and PVC pipe - crude enough not to be mistaken for real, but good enough to pass for the outfit in a bar or club.
But..
Still probably not a good idea.
I would say no.
When it comes to T2, the best thing is to just go with the gold foiled rosebox, when out in public.
