Hey. I'm putting this costume together and I'm looking for input/thoughts on the jacket. Has anyone done this one before?
Got the first M65 off eBay, but the colour was not as advertised. The RIT colour remover bath had zero effect - these things are tough! Onto my second M65 now, hopefully in a more accurate gray, however this colour has been discontinued by Ultra Force (which appears to have been the only manufacturer of gray M65 jackets in recent years) and I am not entirely certain my order is going to be fulfilled.
I am almost 100% certain that the chain is a Lock Link Chain, trade size 4/0 with a single loop joining the chain to the epaulet and wrapped in black leather/vinyl thong.
The black patches on the back and right elbow are apparently vinyl rather than leather. So I will be hitting the car upholstery shops in coming weeks.
The main point of confusion is the pyramid studs. Are they 1/2" or 5/8" in size? If anyone has any info, I will be very greatful.
