What kind of work was needed for the shell, as it used to house the servo gear , no? or was that all stripped when the suit was originally bought?
Sweet ;-)

They were, and probably always will be, one of the best animatronic suits ever made.

Another Brilliant save of a Movie Classic
that is a great job! I am glad to see that some TMNT costumes are still out there in one piece.
I had just seen Donatello at the Seattle Science Fiction Museum. He was in pretty good shape too, but similar to Leo, he has some cracking. It would be nice to see him restored too :angel
...I seem to recall hearing that the Don in the Sci-fi museum is from the third film... anyone know for sure?...
Great resto job! Is the headband original? It has a tinge of purple...
From what I've read over the years, Henson Co. only did the turtle suits and animatronics for the flims. ANY prop or costume from the first TMNT film is incredibly hard to find. I've been searching like mad for a food soldier hood/mask thing for YEARS, and I've come up with nothing. As for there being more props from the film, it seems props from most Henson related projects are far and few between. The company was always quite careful about that sort of thing and it appears not many pieces have made their way into private collections.
