So here finally are my first round of photos of my TE2 kit that im assembling, this is the first trooper kit ive put together and boy what a daunting task, Ive got the helmet pretty much finished all I need to do is fit the mic tips/lenses and finish the decals, Ive hand painted everything except the tube stripes, ive also got the forearms and biceps assembled, like I said this is my first trooper so be honest and at the same time kind with your comments :lol

honestly I'm not the one to ask about this kind of thing but it looks great. I've wanted to do one of these for a while, but never had the confidence. You seem to have done a really great job on this.

That's looking real nice, right there. Really like the sheen of the white paint. You going for Sandtrooper or are have you just not painted in the black stripes yet?

Would it be possible to get a frontal shot of the helmet once you've finished with it, as I'm missing a shot of a TE2 for my helmet's list?

Cheers and keep up the good work. Can't wait to see more.

Looking great so far! I just got my AP kit and have yet to delve in. What did you use for trimming? I am going to try to trim just with tinsnips and I guess an Xacto blade. Did you use an Xacto for trimming?

To be honest I havent quite decided on whether to do a sandtrooper or keep it clean :lol I cant take any credit for trimming as most of it was done when I got the kit, I did some minor trimming with various grades of wet and dry paper and for any larger areas I used a very soft grinding wheel at work, I will try and get a front on pic of the helmet once its done for sure. Next im moving on to the shoulders and body armour cant wait :lol

Looks great so far, but the eyes might need a little more sanding to open them up a bit. The TE2 bumps on the dome really give you a screen used helmet kinda look, I like it. Did you do any additional sanding or filling in on the forehead? It doesnt look as bumpy as some of the other TE2 domes I've seen.

CC,

Great work so far! I remember my WIP with my TE...ahh, fond memories. :)

Thanks for sharing and keep us posted!

Stay safe,

Tim.

The photo really doesnt show off the bumps that well, I will take some more today and hopefully have them up soon, I have since finished the painting on the helmet and I did take a little more out of the eyes, like I said pics on the way, thanks for the comments guys :thumbsup

Helmet finished!! Fitted the lenses with some M6 Screws which I glued inside the helmet head down, I then made the lenses out of the material provided and made holes to accept the screws, the lenses then go onto the screws and plastic washers and nuts hold the lenses in place, I wanted to keep them flush with the eyes and Ive never really had much luck gluing lenses in!!:lol
