TDK Joker props (merged)

Re: TDK Joker props

Well, I've got a super-cool item coming to me in the mail right now, should be here Friday and I'll post pictures.

It's sort of a prop/costume piece: A Joker tie from the company that made them for the film!

(One of 12 put up for sale, I'm told.)

I sent "them" an e-mail concerning the tie over a week ago and never heard anything back. Where were these listed for sale and how much did you pay (if you don't mind)? I can only guess as to what they would charge.

They weren't actually listed for sale anwhere; I inquired about the tie, and they gave me a call. Cost $150; apparently their normal tie price.

And "they" aren't a secret. The production notes for the film stated that the ties were made by Turnbull and Asser.

Yeah, what was it?

It was some guy claiming to have the screen used knife from the scene below

That's porting. Its meant to compensate for the muzzle rise while firing in Full auto. And yeah the single bullet he fired could be done with just a quick trigger tap, but who knows?

I've never seen any like that. Maybe its just a feature on newer models?

Either way, I think your right about the gun in either case. The mod in question to turn it from semi to full auto is actually pretty simple on the real deal. Not that I would go doing it because well... it's illegal. :lol

I wonder if it would be possible to mod an airsoft in the same manner...

Where can one buy an airsoft version?

I found this one, but don't know if it's the same thing - http://www.hobbytronshop.com/product_227185_Spring-Glock-17-Pistol-FPS-200-Two-Tone-Airsoft-Gun.php

Yeah thats the right one I believe.
Only draw back is that it doesn't have an extended magazine.
I've been looking at some gas powered ones (because I'm looking to mod one for full auto) but the only extended mag offered for those, that I've seen, is for the Glock 18. Im not sure if it would fit or not.

One place calls it a "1600 a301 cupid clone" another calls it "1600 OTF Extractor" others just call it a "cupid clone".
The boxes that mine came in were all labeled A301. I'd say that's probably the model number.

You need to look at the KWA brand of G17 or G18c gas blow back pistols. The extended mag for the G18c does work with the G17 model as the entrie line is based on the same design. I am fairly confident of my knowledge level on these guns. I Formerly owned a G18c which i bought right after T3 came out. and now I own 2 G17s, 1 with the black lower, the other with the OD green lower. I woek on these damn things all time for kids and cops alike (they use them for training).

I think the full auto G17 can be accomplished by filling down the hammer sear. though i'd recommend just getting the G18c, polishing the slide and pretending its the G17. Or just use the G17 in semi with the extended mag.

i have alot of Airsoft gas gun knowledge in my brain. it wants out.

NOTE: The KWA Line of Gas Glock Replicas are becoming scarce due to a possible impending lawsuit against KWA. We have taken them down from our web store.

Those are the ones I've been looking at. I just didn't know if they were interchangeable or not. I'll look into getting one or the other. Thanks a bunch man. :cool

I know of a place in japan that sells both, however I don't want to order anything else from them until they send me my damn blank firing S&W M76.

Who did you order it from? plus most gas and electric guns sold in Japan will have mostly plastic construction. due to the ASGK Regulations.

Isn't the KWA just the cheaper version of the KSC, as in it has no trademarks? I thought I read that somewhere.

Well kinda. the KWA brand incorporates the Japanese engineered designs into guns marketable to the world outside Japan. KWA produces them in Taiwan and KWA USA basically mods them for the US. They give them metal slides over the KSC ABS, No trademarks and federally regulated orange muzzles. And speciafically for the G Series the remove the patented trigger safeties as well. SO KWA brand guns are basically upgraded models devoid of copywritten tradmarks.
