TASM 2 U-shaped zip fitting issues

Hi all,

So today I received my Amazing Spiderman 2 suit from Frontier Costuming and I have some concerns about the fit.
As you can see from the photo there is some obvious bulging of the U-shaped zip. There are some other loose areas, such as the end of the seams along the upper thigh.
I've tried adjusting the fit and this was close to the best case-scenario. I did my research on high-end spidey suits beforehand and this was not an issue I had encountered.
Is this the fault of the costume maker, or something else?
I also have more photos of problem areas for reference.
Keen to hear some feedback. Cheers.

The zipper is too long.

Zippers, unlike spandex are inelastic. So they need to be cut to the final length of the fabric once it's on you. Too short isn't really a problem but may cause your fabric to stretch and fatigue more easily, too long causes exactly what you're seeing here.

If you want to remove those wrinkles, just gather all those wrinkles together in on BIG wrinkle/fold, so you can measure it. That will give you an idea of how much extra length is in it. Then get the zipper taken out, shortened, and sewn back in place. Most competent tailors who can work on stretch materials should be able to do that for you.

It's really not anyone's fault, and would be damn tough for any maker to accommodate for without having you try to costume on before finishing it. They usually just pick one zipper length, but since everyone's body is different and the costume sits slightly differently on everyone, there are bound to be a handful of people with issues like this.

Great costume overall, hope you can get the zipper issue all sewn up. (pun intended)

Thanks for the advice, Nick. Good to know that is not as world-ending as I first thought. It was pretty disheartened to discover considering I wanted to fork out for top tier suit.
Also comforting to know it's no one's fault. I really appreciate the feedback :)
I'll post updates for getting it all fixed.
