I really like it. I'd suggest a movie quote for your plaque. HOw about: "The Jedi are extinct, their fire has gone out of the universe." or "Evacuate? In out moment of triumph?"

Very very cool.
I'm in the "A little plaque or something along the top" camp, though. Lots of dead space there, and I think something in there would finish the display off perfectly.
