Just wondering, has anyone here got or has used a Tanaka Remington M870 in there pulse rifle build ??????

finding the real steel thats been deactivated is proving a pain here in the UK, so am considering using the airsoft version, its all metal, except the stock and grip, but thats no problem as ill be chopping those off, just wanted to know if it would be a workable substitute, ie cutting down the barrel and mag tube ??????
