I took the plunge and bought one of the T3 laser scanned resin Arnie busts. After a week or so, here's what I have done:

Still have alot more to do. I have eyes on order, need to do some more painting and washing, need to add hair (I have a wig for him) and brows and a shirt.

Still, I like it. I may buy another and sell this one later.

Nice skin colors. You should probably try to tone down the edges of the lips, let some of the skin color dabble lightly in over the edge, to smooth things down, so it doesn't look like he's wearing lipstick. :thumbsup

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Yeah, I need to work that out a bit better. I still need to do some more washing on the skin to get right tone down. Plus, I need to smooth out the five o'clock shadow out a bit.

i honestly cant tell its resin, which on most busts.. is painfully obvious, this has to be one of the best pain jobs on a resin bust ive seen in a reeeeeeally long time, kudos to you sir

But I did hate the wound placement on the T3 arnie... They placed wounds and showed metal where there should not be any present, I:E: neck area and under the cheek bone

Incredible!!! I haven't even seen one of those resin busts before, so being the first I've seen, it's very impressive.....which I suppose is due to your painting skills.

what paints did you use and what did you use to apply them, very nicely done!

All water based acrylics. Some applied with airbrush and some with TONS of washes. Still need to get arnies T3 skin redness down.

Tell me about it. Always thought it looked generic but hey..that's what he looked like in the movie. Gotta go for accuracy.

I'm already planning a T2 stage 4 and 5 arnie out of this bust. Shouldn't be too hard to modify.

And, oh yeah, here's the Governator with his gregory wig slapped on his head.

Can't wait til I do the hair. Good thing I have a mom who's a hairstylist to help me.

Well, I ended up mounting part of the wig. Spent about 15 minutes doing it. Still needs work. Just touched up the hair a bit with a comb real quick.

Tomorrow, I'll go full out on the hair (shampoo, blow drying, cutting, etc). Wish me luck (I think this is the hardest part of the bust!).
