The way he has the wire in the blade is the same way I made my claws. I had made a pair with the wire coming out the back first, but I found I could not get the claws blade to press into my knuckle, the wire got in the way. The way he has them will enable you to get the blade right up and pressed into your knuckle for a "coming out of your hand"" look when up close. I colored in my wire skin tone and will do the same with these :) Can't wait to get them!!!!!!

Isn't there a slight groove for the wire to rest in on the backs of the originals? That way it forms to the blades and doesn't push into your hands? They shouldn't be coming from out of the bottom. My 2 cents.

Yes the back of the movie claws have a recess machined into them so the square rod mounts flush with the blade. The rods are then held in with a small screw.
