Taking on the Halo Energy Sword.

Im currently attempting the Halo Energy Sword and have the pep assembled. I want to bring it to awesomeness so im looking into different materials, lights and effects. I have made different kind of helms and armours so I consider myself as a one up from rook status. Once completed I will post my results, which will be my first ever. I'm open to any suggestions towards the build and hope it meets the standard at least, haha.

I saw one once awhile back that uses LEDs and clear acrylic to make it glow. They had inserted the LEDs into holes in the plastic and the acrylic transferred the light along its cut edge, sort if a fiber optic effect.
