Hi All,
While on a recon patrol trooper of the 5th Recon unit takes cover under a tree so that he doesn't get detected by enemy drones.
Recipe
Mech Suit - is a 1/144 Gundam Grimoire kit and I decided to make it into a mech suit which I have seen a few people do this and thought it was a great idea so thought I would give it a go.
The helmet is from a Figma racing driver which fits in perfectly with the mech suit, the whole figure is roughly 5" tall so it is about 1:16-1:15 scale and the weapon is from the Bandai Shore Trooper ans I removed the butt.
Base - is high denisty foam cut to shape and then a knife was used to remove some of the base to have it have lower ground. The rocks are pieces of the foam I cut away and then ripped apart and glued on. The tree was made using foil and wrapping it up and then twisting it and the big branches and roots were done the same way then super glued on, the branches and leaves are from Woodland Scenics and are Olive Green fine leaf foliage.
I then added tissue paper to the tree by using watered down PVA glue this helps the tissue to adhere to the foil and blend over the raised area's of the foil and once dry and painted it looks like bark. The base ground work was done using a mix of spakfilla and sand and once dry the lower section which will be the swamp which I added plants from JOEFIX Studios.
The dead undergrowth was done using a mix of sand, dirt, small broken sticks, ground up leaves, cut up lichen moss, static grass and Woodland Scenics ground up fine leaf foliage and the plants are all from JOEFIX STUDIOS and the grass tufts are from Army Painter. The last part was the water which is from Woodland Scenics Realistic Water and the algea is just Woodland Scenics Olive green fine leaf foliage ground up and placed into the realistic water while it was still setting.
