Tactical Alice in wonderland- Inspired by Beatdownboogie Mario Warfare

So lets start with the basics,
I am a huge fan of the fan made Mario Warfare by Beatdownboogie. I am also a huge Mario series fan, Trying to convince my girlfriend to do something like that was near impossible, she is a huge Nintendo geek just not into it. Ok. Compromise. A tactical/Warfare version of Alice in wonderland characters, her idea of course. I told her deal and so I am here, posting this as a progress from character design to finished product.

Any suggestions or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.
