T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

Scanned the left knee today. Shining has fixed the issue, it seems, that was causing the mesh fusing to pop up with an error message saying the memory had run out... so at least that's something. Though the new 0.2mm scanning has been improved in quality it also seems it is struggling more with recessed areas and tends to add a lot of gonk geometry that you cannot remove without trimming away actual scan data and it is practically impossible to separate the gonk automatically, as it is registered as part of the actual scan data. There's a lot more of that crap now.

This scanner has already been surpassed by the Creality Raptor, though that one is a little more expensive. Still... Shining really needs to step up if they want to stay ahead of the game... but maybe it's not possible to improve this one much because of the way it is actually scanning. Just wish they could get it to stop adding so much gonk to scans.

Got annoyed with the scan session today, so didn't scan the right knee.

May even re-scan the left knee... uncertain at this point... 'cause I'm beginning to get annoyed by the scanner.

It is interesting. No matter the accuracy of LifeSize releases I still check them out in detail. I can’t help it. Lol

I think DeltaDesignRus is the only one who can provide such a thing. Unless I misinterpret what you are asking for.

The returning endoskeleton parts in the Propstore auction are set at lower estimates than last time, so they may actually sell this time around.

a small comparison, I photographed a 2.0 sideshow recast copy for comparison with m1. Did anyone know that the size is identical? the sideshow copy 2.0 can be removed again, it was very poorly made. A warning to the fans here who might also buy this to

Does anyone know if hcg is the right size or M1? To me the t1 Clay skull looks like it's in between?

and a little update of my 3D skull

The Sideshow may be almost as narrow as the M1, but that is because it is squished narrow from side to side, but it is much longer front to back than the M1. You may not see it when having them side by side, but you see the difference when you scan them and put the models on top of each other.

thanks
then I can only compare with hcg... is hCG the original size? the HCG/LFS/XFX are all from the same molds but it is from screenused movie molds?

As you can see in my picture several posts back showing multiple endoskulls, then I seriously doubt that ANY licensed skull is the correct size. All the scans I have are smaller than my foam skull scan and I have no clue on how that one compares to the original T1.

No lisenced skull are from screen used molds. Most are the later T2:3D style. The closest would be the Timeless skull master... which is production style... but even that is seriously warped and can be several generations removed.

My guess is that the foam skull scan is foamed, so it could be slightly inflated.
I think the right size would be one that doesn't stick out too far from his head compared to Schwarzenegger's life mask.
The original Sideshow is just the right size, but the Chinese copy has shrunk considerably.
However, it is the Genisys skull that fits nicely into the life mask.

For now, my work on the Terminator is on hold due to a lack of free time, plus I don't have a scan of the original temporal inserts. I still hope that Gizmo will eventually make the scans and share them, then the work will move forward.

Can you compare the asymmetry of Arnold's face by mirroring the mask horizontally, without the skull?

Also, it would be interesting to see different skulls inside the mask from a side view.
