T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

What I would be interested in would be to find the piece that's sitting in the middle of the nose. It's missing on the EMPMuseum one, so might be a separate piece. Wonder if it is a model kit part similar to the ones on the back of the nose opening?

I think this seam line occurs on other skulls too. For example, I think if you look at the Tomenosuke and Lightstorm skulls, you can barely make out a bit of wonkiness and cleanup. There are hints of offset, and I actually think that is the reason skulls are often missing 1 or 2 screws around the rear port. It's because they ran a mold seam across the screw area. And I bet that as they cleaned up these skulls they had to use filler and sanding which wiped screws at that seam area if they weren't careful or the offset was bad enough to cause them to use more filler. Check out the collage and you'll see what I mean.

I haven't gone back to closely examine all T1/T2 skulls for hints of that particular seam, but I wouldn't be surprised if found it on other skulls.

So you would say that may be an artifact of the original T1 mold line? Or if not that, then perhaps the T2 mold line?

Here’s some of the bits from the model kits. Had to find some rare and expensive kits like the Le Rhone!! Ugh my life has been dedicated to this more than I should admit. But it’s out there now hehe

Do we know if the T1 and T2 rear covers were found parts as well?

Also... we should definitely have those high-res scanned.

There are several kit parts listed on the Jaz Creations website

The shoulder pieces the arms connected to were found parts as well, combined with the backside of one those temple gearbox things - info from the Timeless master guy. :)

You can see one of the shoulder pieces still in the bag in this picture.

Which piece, the chrome "septum" part or the kit bash parts at the back of the nasal cavity? If it's the missing front chrome "septum" piece, I figured that was a custom sculpted piece. But it could have been something else!?

The grey Le Rhone part in the Quartz picture above is also paired with another Le Rhone part for a detail piece on the chest. I assume most people know this. I thought it was cool when I learned.

Too Much Garlic is talking about the parts above for the chest ( got ‘em)

Also below are some of the pieces at the back of the nasal cavity (the part on the left needs to be cut from a larger part)

Yep. The septum piece. It seems to be a separate piece, since it is missing from the EMPMuseum one and it is not seen in the SWS school sculpt pictures. Since it is so cleanly "broken off" from the EMPMuseum one it appears it was not part of the casting, but was added later.

Since they used so many model kit parts, I thought this might be one as well.

I thought I could get closer to the part in the DeltaDesignRus scan model... but since it is a hard place to scan, the detail is lacking. You can sorta see where the outline is supposed to be... but what it could be or what kind of model kit part it could be, I really have no clue.

If I remember correctly, I read in some thread on this very forum, years ago, that the "found parts" were in fact from a tank kit.

Are you thinking you saw that specifically relating to the “septum” part of the nose we were discussing? Or in general across the endoskeleton? Because the Flak Gun kit parts (used around the endoskull) looks kinda like a tank on the box cover if you aren’t a military buff.

Wonder if any of the donor kits used on the endoskeleton has the part or parts that make up the septum piece. Could be one or more parts glued together to form a single piece, or it could have been part of a bigger piece that was cut down, similar to the piece at the back fo the nose opening.

The septum. And I never saw any image. I only specifically remember reading "tank".
But it's from memory and human memory is faulty at best :p

Better take it with a mountain of salt.
