Hi all, I thought I best introduce myself, I have lurked around here for a little while looking at build threads etc, there is some great craftsmen on here. I thought it only fair to show my previous costumes and perhaps put up some builds in future to share with others so they could possibly take some ideas from me like everyone else gives their ideas on here.
I've always been creative and able to draw, add that with being an avid gamer since my Sega Master System II costume making has kind of followed suit.
Anyway here are a few of my completed costumes, all built by myself and by scratch, they have all been done by eye, so the templates have all been drawn by myself just using pictures as references (some pics aren't great quality, sorry in advance)
A pet annoyance of mine is cosplayers who turn every costume into a "sexy" costume and modify the costume to show cleavage etc when the original costume/character isn't revealing anything, my main aim with my costumes is for people to see the attention to detail and time I've put into my costumes. I attempt to make mine as accurate as possible and realistic as possible.
Cheers!
Night Elf - World Of Warcraft
This made my first costume I made, most of it was actually made on the day of halloween (was for halloween party) and I had been drinking so it turned out okay for a rush job haha.

Sub Zero - Mortal Combat Series
This only took a weekend to really make, my favourite part is the mask, I'm an auto eleccy so any chance I get to intergrate electronics into costumes I jump at the chance, I also liked wearing the white contact lenses these two features made the costume I reckon. This one was for a dress up party.

Mauled Goldilocks - Prosthetics
I bought the costume, this was for another halloween party, it was my first proper attempt at prosthetics (made from scratch) so pretty happy with how it came out, I will be keen to do a zombie walk with my partner so we get a chance to do some.

Sylvanas Windrunner - This is my latest complete costume, it took me 3 months to make and is my most serious costume ie: put a fair bit of effort into, used wonderflex, paper mache, paint and glue to create this for the SupaNova advanced costume comp, I didn't win but I had fun and learnt more about costume making

I'm hoping to do a shoot with the sylvanas and sub zero costume later down the track, I'm lucky enough that my partner is very creative as well and is getting really great at photography (he took the last sylvanas pic) so look forward to that!
I'm currently working on 2x costumes at the moment, Ezio from AC2 (looking forward to being an assassin!) and my partner and I are building Iron Man suits which we will both wear which will be heaps of fun making them together and wearing them as a team!
