I don't get this either. It's not the one used in Jedi on the sail barge when he takes a laser last to the hand, is it? In ROTJ, I thought he was hit on the BACK of the hand... So - I just don't get it either...

You're right, in ROTJ Luke is hit on the back of his hand. And I don't recall the plaque (in the display describing this item) stating the purpose of this particular prop. BTW, it looks as phony in person as it does in the photo, so that may be the reason it wasn't used on film. :confused
