SW Acolyte in a tail spin

The show is over but there's no (financial) excuse for Disney to completely bury it.

Teenagers make indie movies & music videos on shoestring budgets. They still manage to sell DVD copies of their work at a profit. Disney can sell disc copies of 'The Acolyte' if they want to.

Personally, I think, if the show is cancelled, then we should just all stop talking about it. It's really a waste of all our time. Instead go grab a good novel (Star Wars or otherwise.)

If we don't look, they have no power.

After watching the entire series, I’m indifferent. It wasn’t that good but it wasn’t a turd either. Slight changes to the story and cast would have made it better. The ship designs were completely boring. They need to bring in a designer that has SW vision.

The studios like to blame the trolls but even the true fans are perplexed by the direction this universe is heading.

Fun fact: I’ve only ever paid for Oreos in blood.

(They always give me a pack of Oreos after getting a pint drained at the blood bank)

Never paid for Star Wars in blood tho - just paid for with my time on this planet… time I could be watching Spacecamp instead!

There’s really no point to this post. Just a weird revelation about how I eat Oreos as an adult.

Disney could have sold DVDs of the Willow series as well, but chose not to. The general consensus is that with the dour performance of Willow, Disney wanted to save $$ by avoiding the royalties to the actors and production team each time it was "streamed" to an account, so... they just pulled it completely.

Will the same happen to The Acolyte?

what does the magic 8 ball say?

That's my point. Today it's 'The Acolyte' but tomorrow it may be something that has a fanbase. The next day it might be a big monster hit.

Maybe in the future Disney will decide to yank the old good SW content off streaming because they think it will tip viewership towards their new SW crap. (Don't say it won't happen just because the old SW stuff is too popular. Disney makes idiotic decisions all the time. They seem to enjoy losing money these days.)

The loss of physical media is a serious problem and I'm against anything that smacks of it. Good show or bad.
