I know, I know...but, according to many sources the series is not doing very well (don't say that we didn't tell you so:lol:). Now, I know that the Acolyte's thread was locked by our Mods and I don't want to be banned re-hashing the main problems with this series...but that's what happens when you want to interject real life with the World of StarWars (a work of fiction...should that be a reminder for the Disney people:rolleyes:).
Anyway, 'nuff said; I'm exiting stage left:p

Speaking of Tailspin, I'd rather watch that old cartoon any day.....lol.

Agreed. The funniest thing to me is that the thread got locked over such an idiotic looking show. It's the least egregious content Lucasfilm has released since 2012. 2017 was bad enough. This is a hiccup by comparison.

The fact that people got so worked up over Acolyte was hysterical. If we need to discuss it without actually discussing it, I'm fine with that. Lol.

I only saw a few episodes of Tailspin. It was pretty good from what I recall.

When the theme song from an animated show, from the early 90s, that only lasted one season, is infinitely more entertaining than the Mouse's current offerings.

Well, it was 3 seasons, but due to the way they made shows back then, they just made them all in one go.

My favorite cartoon of all time, by the way. glad to see some love for it.

Didn't even realize they remade this 3 years ago.

That particular video is a fan creation, but using footage from the very real episode of the new Ducktales that was a sequel to the original Tailspin, with an adult Kit and Molly.

I did not know that. Very interesting. Sixty five episodes total.

I watched it a lot back then, but also didn't remember how many they made.

More goodness from back then.
And the updated one.

Just a handful of my childhood.

Well Joberg, this thread has been completely derailed to cartoon openings now....lol. Which I think everyone will enjoy better anyways.

You missed at least one.

Oh, I missed a WHOLE lot that need to be added.

Didn't watch this one as much as the others, but still here and there.

And one of my absolute favorites. Although, most on youtube only had a still image.

Still only a handful.....barely even scratching the surface.
Thinking about it, there were some really awesome cartoons back then.

I’ve actually been enjoying ‘The Acolyte’ and I was bummed and disappointed when I went to post for the first time in the actual Thread only to find it locked for the obvious reasons due to the expected people.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

I’ll admit I wasn’t too sure after the first few episodes, and I’ll admit it works much better as a continuous story instead of a weekly episodic format, but the last few episodes reeled me back in and I’ve begun to really enjoy the story, characters, costumes, locations, and the themes explored. I have consumed zero High Republic stuff so for better or worse this has been my only exposure to the time period.

Although I am enjoying the show I know I’ll never collect the action figures, prop lightsabers, or other merch- but that is true for most SW outside of the OT.

I had no expectations so I’m not disappointed. To me it’s basically a mid-tier comic book in live action and it’s fine. It’s easy to like if you weren’t wanting to hate it, and it’s easy to hate if you were wanting to hate it. Everybody gets what they want.

I never knew they did a reboot of Johnny Quest in the late 90's. Going to have to check that out... A live action Johnny Quest movie could've been potentially kind of cool.

Hey, thats against the rules to go back on topic....lol

Yep. I totally watched both. I like both themes as well. The early CGI used back then like they were going through the world of Tron.
