Stunt Work - Update - Completed

A Hunters Moon

I've wanted to do one of these for a long time. When you get down to it you can get caught up in all the little details because the helmet really has a greater amount of detail than what you see at a glance. Particularly when it comes to the greeblies and paint. Given the time frame they were under it goes to prove just how talented the artist were on the film.

Looking forward to what you come up with Tom. Glad to finally see the thread as well starting to make me salivate some ;)

You sir, are a more devoted and dedicated man than I.  It's looking great so far, and can't wait to see how this finishes off.  Don't make us wait too long, eh?

Long time coming but hopefully this will turn out to be a nice piece in your collection Steve.

Just a few updates over the next couple weeks.  Though I may hold off on the final one due to your comment B.  :p

Next couple of weeks???  So know when you're not updating you can blame it on me and my comment.  Way to plan ahead Tom, very clever.

I love the different approaches to the stunt bio.  I thought long and hard about which way to go with mine.  Sanded it down then hit it with grey primer which showed up 101 minor flaws which I chose to ignore.  I'm looking forward to seeing this one polished up and painted to perfection.  Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a second down the line from George and do my super smooth bio.

Yeah, primer is definitely good at bringing out unseen flaws.  For this stunt I filled and fixed the majority of stuff that I thought took away from the look but didn't want to go too far with it.

Thanks for the kind words guys.  I can't even begin to tell you how much effort is being poured into this one helmet.  It's become cliche to say but I've spent hours and days, if not weeks, on new screen caps alone.  I hope to do it massive justice, if at all possible.

By looking at the pics you've posted so far, it's plain to see you've put allot into it.  There's no doubt in my mind that you will do it the justice it deserves Tom!

Even with the hd screen caps I took it was difficult to get the perfect look for the shroud. A lot factors in but whats clear is just how often the bio bits change. Theres of course two different shrouds but possibly two or three types of hose intakes. Below you can see the shrouds, one thick and one thin.

Very nice! That's the one part that has no crystal clear photos and there doesn't appear to be one that survived.

You seem to have done your homework and it looks the **** in my books ;)
