Paint.  I'm going to continue to shoot for more accuracy as this thing goes on.  Paint will seal the deal and be the longest process in the build for me.

Busy busy but here's another minor update. The first pic shows some browns that were added by airbrush and the second pic the greens that went over that. At this point I'm trying for a lot of translucency in the paint.

One of the earliest discussions I had with Steve concerning the stunt was on false damage vs real. We both felt a realistic approach would add to the overall look. I wanted to stay screen accurate but also engrave the damage into the helmet for extra depth. In my head a bullet had dinged the brown causing it to crack while one shattered on the dome scarring it.

When looking take into account that the paint is unfinished and that I haven't angled the helmet to match the screen caps. Either way I think I'm fairly close to the original so far.






Next will come several layers of grey and black to match the final look. Thanks for checking it out and sticking with me on this mini adventure of mine.

I'm glad we agreed on actual damage vs. painted damage I think it looks much better.

Best lookin' bio on the lair hands down Tom.  Marginally better than my Porker (that's sayin' allot ), and much dirtier than my Bonzo.  In fact, if either one happen to show up at your door one day you'll know what to do!  Steve, I know where you live, and 8 hours is not too long a drive to add this to my collection... ya better watch out  !
