Stretched F86 Sabre Kitbash Spaceship

The painting depicted a huge articulated runway underground. As it turns out, there are lunar lava caves that dwarf Philadelphia

Pro-Job all the way (y) (y)  :notworthy::notworthy: My only critique is that I find that the pilot's scale is a little too small;)

While the pilot is the correct scale ( 1/18) for the donor Sabre kit I see what you mean, his little helmeted head does look a little small in the cockpit. Perhaps it would have been better to try and squeeze a 1/16 scale figure in there.

I think you are right Mcusanelli they look identical.

Borjis I am a big fan of that craft. It was called Survey 19 in the movie. I always wanted to build a studio scale replica of it but although putting the feelers out I have never come across any information about what it was made from at all. In fact there is zero information on the spaceship miniatures from Saturn 3. My guess was that it was a backwards aircraft fuselage from a large 1/24 scale kit but I have not been able to identify it. The spaceship at the end of the movie is clearly two halves of a 1/24 Airfix Harrier kit widened horizontally.
