Stranger Things (Netflix)

I'm rewatching ST2 right now because it's the Halloween season, and I just noticed something I'd never caught before. The scene when Lucas finishes telling Max the 'top secret' events of season 1, Max says "...I really liked it...Well, I mean I had a few issues. I just felt it was a little derivative at parts, but...I just wish you'd had a little more originality, that's all."

I could just be reading into this, but that line reads like the Duffers are poking fun at themselves for crafting a story heavily inspired by so many classics that pays homage at every turn. Watching it this time made me pause for a second and appreciate their self-deprecating humor

Is this show still going? I thought it got cancelled before the pandemic.

They really moved at a snail's pace to get this finished.
Stranger Things for me had an absolute solid, really enjoyable first season, with a pretty solid second season, the third was okay and the fourth was a chunk of my life I would like back after the painful shoehorning of Vecna into the backstory.
I'm sorry to say but the fourth season did it for me. I'm not going to waste time with the final season.
I hope for fans of the series it turns out to be a good conclusion.

All im hoping for is some kind of epilogue showing them all as current day adults telling the story to their grandkids or something...
