Stormtrooper mic tip questions

Hey guys,

I don't know if this has ever been asked, but I just bought some resin castings of the Hovi Mix mic tips for the Stormtrooper helmet. I'm doing a ESB stormtrooper lifesize and noticed that there's a metal ring on the inside.

Does anyone know of how I could go about to replicate that? Thanks in advance!

Its not a metal ring. Its the white plastic "guts" inside the mic tip.
