Stolen Fett!!

That is great news!
Very happy for you indeed.

If you all wouldn't mind, I'd like to share alittle trick with you all.
This is something us "car guys" have been doing for a while.
Ill keep the description short as to not clog the thread.

Buy a "go phone".
Put the minimum dollar amount on it.
Open it up and snip the speaker wire.
Now hardware the charger into your car.
Place the phone behind a kick panel or any other hidden location.
Download one of many phone finder apps to you daily phone or similar type programs for you PC.
It won't notify if stolen, but it will give you the location of the vehicle(phone).

We've been doing this low budget low jack for along time.

I'm happy you got your costume back. Insurance will take care of the rest hopefully. I speak from experience, that some insurance companies don't account for the contents of the vehicle, unless there is specific provisions in the contract. Interesting how you got it back. Is there no security camera info that they could use to identify the culprit? Obviously the person who brought the costume back "anonymously" had to have some idea of who gave it to him/her.

AWESOME!!! I'd be ****ting myself too once I realized I'd stolen Boba Fett's clothes!

That is INSANE! I cannot believe you actually got it back! I'm very curious to hear the details on the anonymous drop off. I'm assuming it got back to the dude that stole it that it was all over the news and he realized he couldn't sell it anywhere. But I'm surprised he turned it in instead of keeping it. now if only he'd have a change of heart about your vehicle as well.

I just got the suit back from the detectives working the case. Whoever dropped it off is being kept anonymous by the police themselves; maybe because they don't want to tip their hand and alert the subjects of a longer, ongoing investigation? I'm just speculating...

Anyways, the suit is pretty much all there and intact. I could put it on right now and be pretty much 501st approved again, aside from the helmet ears they pried off my helmet. Any repairs or replacements are in hidden areas: replace battery boxes for fans and hearing system in helmet, re-attach helmet ears, sew-repair an ankle tie back onto the leg cuff of the flight suit, and repair a crack in the resin jetpack thruster casing.

My next event is 2 weeks away, and it should be ready to troop by then.

Why the f did they pry off the ears ? Did they seriously steal the electronics inside the helmet ? Those guys were real idiots. :-/
