I got my 1st Blu-ray for Christmas, The Watchmen Steelbook. Freaking awesome!! :thumbsup ($10 at BB) Do the steelbook versions have content that's not on the regular BR? I don't know that I would pay extra for the box, but certain movies I'd pay a little more for to get extra non-streaming content (and a cool box 
)

it is a nice steelbook, I think my favourite are the Arrow video ones...The Beyond, Zombie Flesh Eaters and Big Trouble in Little China. I can't stop buying them, I have about another five on pre-order.

It is a great package, it's huge, not really a steelbook...I think it's called a metalpak. You get the bluray, 3d bluray and DVD. It's from France the box is a lot bigger and it is supposed to have the best picture quality bluray...I have the uk and Australia blurays too and it is better then both.

So mad I missed out on that one...
Outside of the background details being completely washed out, the Thor steel book is pretty nice. And if you manage to grab one, take note on the extra "disc holder" that would have been used for the DVD. This plan must have been such a last minute change that I bet they literally tore the packages open, removed the DVDs and repackaged it. Now I'm contemplating on getting the regular DVD just to fill it up!
It's a shame they can't just sell these as normal discs rather than a pre order. I always miss out.

Yep! Sometimes they'll be buried behind regular copies of the film.
It seems that Universal's limited edition Steelbook run was a success. Here's the next batch.
If this set is successful, we might just see "The World's End" and "Riddick" Steelbooks after all to go along with their steel book counterparts. Hehe. Glad I didn't buy the Bourne movies. Still, I'll have to buy the Blues Brothers again. That is the best packaging for the film I've seen to date.
