Steel StormTrooper in the works

Very crazy but also very nice work. The speeder car is not any more sensible but it will be an attention grabber, keep up the mad ideas Donc.

Man, if I had access to the tools I'd totally have to give the halo 3 marine armor this treatment. Very fine work so far.

So, do you come from the SCA armoring world, or the artistic metalworking one?

Looks like you work very very well with steel and aluminum!

Awesome work so far! :thumbsup

Thanx for the input. I work with steel and aluminum.

Got the helmet as far as I will take it in steel...front mouth piece and surround wayyy too much work to fab in steel so will cast that in aluminum and add to the helmet. Still have to make the indents, brow and ears etc. As per the question...no not an armorer at all, 1st and 2nd attempt here with my trooper gear.,

Amish...I followed your suggestion and ended up on the KropSerkel website...now that kind of Armor is very impressive but sci-fi is more my interest:)
Speaking of Armor I added extra protection to my aluminum Trooper 'briefs' should there ever be a lightsaber within swinging proximity of my
' package'
:lol

That's just plain awesome! How did you form the detailed raised areas like the ab plate?

Crazy good! Will you be adding weathering or "rust" once finished for an aged look or going high shine?

A couple of hardheads

I think he mentioned he was going to let it rust. - yep.

While the aluminujm helmet was easier to shape it lost some of its from in the lower jowel area...I figure it'll make a good birdbath at this point...upside down, and I'll continue on the steel hemet. As per one question to forming the ab plate- I'll show all when this is done:)

Oh. My. Gosh. This is nuts. I would say, though, you'd better take some extra precautions against armor bite. OUCH!
