This is my first thread so forgive me if I go about this in the wrong way. I have been lurking for a few months now and I have seen and learned a crazy amount from everyone on here. So thanks.
With that said, I am in the planning/material collecting stage of a steampunk Bane costume. I am using the TDKR Bane as a base and I am trying to go with a militant version without weapons.
I am trying to keep a few of the elements the same (similar mask, knee pads and gauntlet for now.) to keep some familiarity yet having freedom to stray from the standard costume.
For the mask, I am using a regular respirator and forming in the fashion of one of the concept art masks from a picture I got off the net (sorry for no picture). The rest of the mask would be leather with straps on the sides.
I got some green WWII paratrooper pants at a thrift store that I am sewing some elbow pads to at the knees. They are khaki in color and the pads are black but I will be changing that color to keep with the theme.
I know it isn't all that cool but as a noob, I would like to start with something relatively easy and work up from there.
Any feedback or ideas are more than welcome. I like the ideas a lot of the fellow forum members come up with. Thanks for your time.
