Hey all!
While technically, this may not be a Ghostbusters prop, we heard a lot of Jackie Wilson in our heads as we worked on this one! (We also had a few "You maniacs! You blew it up!" moments!)
This started as a truckload of EPS foam, and eventually we turned that into a 20 foot tall bust of the Lady Liberty herself. It was hand and hot wire carved, and finished with a spray on hardcoat. The piece was used as a massive photo-op and icon for this year's Governor's Ball Music Festival in NYC.
I think the pics probably speak for themselves in terms of what went into carving this big prop, but the I want to give a big thanks to the whole team here, as everyone really stepped up to create this in a short time.
We've got full credits and more pics on our site: Statue of Liberty Sculpture - Photo Op Trade Show Style Prop - 20 feet tall!
There's a video slideshow on our Youtube channel as well - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CRXa52cPjA
And we've been posting a lot of behind the scenes images on our Facebook page, so be sure to join us there too! https://www.facebook.com/TomSpinaDesigns
Thanks for looking and enjoy the pics!
