So I did 130+ studs by hand, only to find out there is a tool to do it! DOH.

Happy with it so far. I am waiting for a friend to sew the seams. I sent off a roll of Leather for the scales to a friend in Oregon. She does corsets mostly, but wants to try more costuming stuff, so I am her guinea pig.

What I can't figure out is how to do the part of the codpiece that covers your junk.

Trying to figure out how to get the "Bulge" to hold it's shape. I have seen some makers that are very flat.

Have you looked into a hockey goalie cup? They're a little larger than a players cup and they kinda have the shape you're after.

I think that the "cup" part may be a good base...but maybe not.

super glue works. Also... Gorilla glue.

You may find neither of those to be flexible enough and will crack and separate when bent.

Try Fabric-Tac or Barge.

Thanks for both of those links. That may be a way to go. We don't have a call for hockey stuff this far south, so I didn't even think to go that direction. Gonna stop by Academy sprots tonight, just in case.

Ok, well I finished studding the belt, and was doing the circle in the middle seperate. After digging for pics, I found a closeup of the original belt, and it looks like the circle is on the same piec e of leather. i have a feeling that is going to be easier than trying to do a seperate circle.

I also, found a seamstress localy that can seam it for me. I should have some updated pics soon.

The girl that is doing the scales for me says they are coming along nicely.

So I searched and searched for a pattern for the crotch part of the belt to no avail.

Well tonight I went to the local bar and saw my friend Don, who does latex and leather bunny costumes, and Gothic fetish wear.

I asked him if he had a pattern and to my surprise, he said, "hang on, I have a box of them at home". 15 min. later he came back with a perfect size for me to embelish

After it was all said and done, my friend from England piped in and said, "that conversation and outcome could only happen in New Orleans".

Finished the dragon scales and codpiece adding velcro tonight hopefully I will have updated pics soon. Trying to have it ready for Mardi Gras on Tues.
