Stargate Universe (SGU) props thread

I'm actually heading up to Vancouver in a week to collect all the props and costumes for auction later this year, so there will be slot of reference images for those who don't win the actual items to base replicas off of. The remotes actually used a PDA with touch screens and a flash program, they built the case right around it, not a psp

Such a bummer they cancelled the show, my wife has never liked it, I got her into SGA from it's beginning, she watched a little of SG1 with me but came in to that so late she was having a bit of a time with the lingo. This show she never got into, but she's watched the last couple of episodes and said she was starting to get into it, bummer.

Hey Silverskyes402, maybe if you have the stuff on hand you can finally figure out how the heck the kino was designed :)
And after I posted about the psp, I was looking at mine, there are too many variations, plus all the push buttons would have had to be heavily redesigned so I was thinking it had to be something else.
Does anyone know who won the one that was sold in the hollywood treasures auction?

I never followed Stargate until Universe. I really liked it and will really miss it. The art direction in the short lived series is some of the best in the franchise.

My favorite part until the recent episodes is the sets and props. The stories have finally begun to pick up some of the old stargate flair in my opinion. Maybe things will change if they get good sales off of season 2 on dvd and video. I would say maybe even Atlantis season 6, but they've dismantled and sold most if not all the stuff on ebay.

I just saw pictures of a keno and remote on Ebay.

Very excited about the auctions! that kino is a stunt though, and the remote as well, I've held and documented the hero's, too bad theg don't describe as hero, stunt, backup, ect.

After watching SGU, I have seen a few things that would be great projects. I'm interested in the "Keno", the flying camera ROV that was in the premiere.

If anyone has any Hi-Res pictures the "Keno" and its remote and could post them it would be much appreciated!

I would also love to hear other people ideas on prop projects from Stargate Universe.

Thanks

Hey everyone, i really enjoyed reading your ideas for making props. Kudos to all. I decided to take it a step further though, i am remaking Destiny's Bridge Chair and consoles. at this stage i have only make one consoles monitor. Im new to this site. so im unsure if you all have access to my albums or not. however here is a pic of my console that i have built thus far. im kinda stuck on the circular dial on the upper left hand corner of most of the consoles. However, on the left side of my monitor im going to have that dial (once i build it...) to be the master volume control for the computer i will house inside both of the consoles.

As for the chair... Well. at the moment, Im working on two 50inch plasmas, one 42 inch plasma. and the 23 inch that i just made the replica from. the way i had them set up one on top of the other ment that with a normal ergo swivel chair was always straining my neck to see the screens above eye height.

SO me never being the type to be outdone, and always willing to go to extremes for my ultimate gaming experience.

*I bought an electric dentist chair*

Fully hydrological and can raise to over 1.3 meters high. so while it wont look exactly like the chair from destiny. it will be very close. My girlfriend is designing the seat to look the same, slightly altered because of the different shape.

tell me what you think regardless. And if you have any other ideas that I might be able to incorporate into my designs.
