Stargate Props : Show us yours!

:$ Noted:

And I took a look at your Build Thread.

:eek :eek

Dude Very Nice Job! I am going to go through it again for some pointers. The only trick now is to find some time and Money. Come on JOB!!! :facepalm

Again Very Cool Build!

Got a wee bit of shipment. Not shown is the Super Solider undersuit and still a wall panel to arrive but heres some quick pics on the Iphone before I add them to my thread when assembled.

Theres an Unas foam latex skin from the Episode where Chaka gets captured, Unas arms used in the first Unas episode where the Unas is trapped by Thors hammer (these are the ones used to grab Teal'c) and the plaster master of the Anubis wrist device from Stargate the movie. All I need now is an Unas head and I have a full Unas costume

Cool Stuff! I have castings I have been meaning to get to.

Here is the actual hero fore arm part that attaches to!

Very very nice Frank! I'd def be interested in a cast too. I've seen it on your props before. Its just the top half is it? From what i've seen in the screen caps the bottom half is the same as the bottom half of the SG1 Jaffa gauntlets and the top half is the same shape over all (the layers on the back) so they must have used the same molds and modified the top one.

Sorry you lost me.

Its the whole Arm Section for both arms.

They did resuse parts of these, Im looking for the BICEP part.
I plan on making an entire ANUBIS eventually, as I just sourced a belt.

Ahh i get ya! Sorry I thought it was just the top piece of the gauntlet in the picture and they used the same tops for left and right hand but different bottoms

I was basing mine initially off this, while not 100% accurate they seem pretty close for the bottom part

This one threw me off a little as it looks different to the other ones

Yeah there was alot of stuff recreated,...and resculpted for SG1, because they didn't have access to all the movie stuff.

I'll have some more schematics/blueprints coming tomorrow from VIP, F302 and Daedalus class cruiser :) Know QMx has offered the F302 print but no official Daedalus one has surfaced prior to this that I'm aware of. Will post pic's tomorrow when it arrives.

Sweet can not wait to see!

The Daedalus is my favourite Earth based ship from Stargate (never much liked the Prometheus). Have you picked up any of the ones that include the Puddle Jumper?
I just wish more of these schematics were widely available, like the Trek stuff. There are so many official diagrams and good ortho renders of the screen used 3D models floating around.

I was outbid on the Puddle Jumper set a few weeks ago. It's kind of crazy on what things are going for, not really the norm of what you'd expect with what it is & # of prints in the set being put up.

The thing I don't get is, paper props for QMx have been a big hit with the Firefly and BSG franchises.... but it's like they just throw a bone out to the Stargate license with something here and there. Heck, the 1 big thing everyone wants, their license covers, they've prototyped, and still haven't released it 3 years later.... The Zat Gun. You'd have thought they would have gotten all the CG files and put out a massive blueprint offering.

When I last asked about the Zat gun, they were having trouble making it affordable. They auctioned the prototype and serial number 1 at a charity auction a few years ago. They still haven't been handed over and the guy who won one of two was told recently that they should be available soon.

I'm sure that if they worked on it enough they'd find a way to make it cheaper. One way would be to simply offer more, double or triple their run numbers and that would bring the price down and I'm sure that if it were priced low enough they'd sell them hand over fist. To gauge interest and to encourage orders they should do what Animeigo did years ago when they released their remastered Macross DVD set and set up a tiered pricing system. What they did was set an initial for price for up to X number of pre-orders, as the number of pre-orders went up the price went down and it actually got to the point that they had so many pre-orders they actually dropped the price down even further than the original planned lowest price. If QMX did this I'm betting that the interest would be enough to bring the price down to a reasonable amount

I'll believe they're making a zat when they actually ship, at this point I'm like Frank when it comes to QMx zat's....

On the bright side I scanned nearly 200 sq feet of blueprints today :) I'll be blind or severely cross eyed by the time i'm done cleaning up the SGC plans.

Pffft, nothing a Goa'uld sarcophagus can't cure. :D

Are the pictures posted above the only schematic images included for the 302 and 304? I'd be interested if you ever offered copies of those. The 304 and the Puddle Jumper are my favourite Stargate ships, so I'd love to model those one day, and of course it wouldn't feel right to model the 304 without some F302s in the bays.

And well, you know my position on the SGC plans!

Was the set just concept art or did it include blueprints? I bought the Daedalus pilot's chair, but it didn't come with the platform. If I'm going to rebuild it, I'd like to get as close as possible to the original. If I don't find it by the time I'm ready, I'll just guess.

Specifically, I'm looking for the part marked in the screenshot.

Jo2y, Daedalus prints are just the outside schematics and hanger bay related to the episode Intruder. The 302 prints are the outside schematics similar to the qmx offering, but theres one for the practical mockup cockpit and an inside pic of the mockup. CAlling for grebies and panel coverups due to an inside the cockpit shot view from the floor up to the pilot.
