Stargate Props : Show us yours!

Got any pics of the ZPM?[/QUOTE]

It's in transit to me as we speak, should be here in the next couple days, I'll post tons of pics with the other pieces in the collection!

I don't have any screen used or hero props only the ones I have made over the last ten years. I don't go for accuracy I'm thankfull if it turns out something like it:angel

Sorry. I rather be truthful than not.

Being honest is a good quality. But there is a time and place. It's kind of like going to a book signing by a famous author and then walking up to him and saying "Eh, I'm not really a fan." This is obviously a topic for people who are fans and who would like to see pictures of the props. If you aren't a fan, move along and don't click on the topic.

True, but I did say that if I did have a prop replica, it'd most likely be from the first film.

Is this the knife your thinking of Sabergirl? If so its made by Gil Hibben i believe. There are similar ones but the cuts down the centre are different. Only mod needed to be done really is to colour the handle and make the sheath

That's the one! Thanks for the info.

No bother at all. Its actually called the 'double shadow' i believe.

Clarence, wow, for scratch build they are very good. Esp the hand device and serpent guard helm. What is the helm made of if you don't mind me asking? Collection to be proud of!

Something funny, Randy Cooper, a good friend of mine, asked if I could get two Models to a friend of his, Jason. I spoke to Jason on the phone a few times, and he came by to pick up his kits yesterday.
We could not figure out where we had met, but we knew we had.
We did finally figure out it was when Greg Jein gave me a tour of the set on STARGATE in my home town of Yuma, AZ.

Anyhow,...then I remembered this picture and low and behold,..there is Jason on the Right holding a glider!
hahahah

Its a small World.

Is that Stargate the full thing, or does it stop just out of the picture? Any idea what ever happened to the full-sized gates they built for the movie? I'd imagine storing those somewhere would be hell (even if they do break down...), but I'd also hate to think they were dismantled and trashed or something...

These photos were taken a few years ago at ConDor in San Diego. Most of the display is mine.

The original movie gate was left outside in the weather post filming. While it wasn't 100% gone, molds were pulled from it to rework/repair it and changes were made to make the TV gate.

With the movie, the movie gate top 'chevron' was a split so it windowed the constellation glyphs & the side chevrons all were pneumatic and 'locked' when the appropriate chevron was in the windowed. I believe the top window chevron lit as the 7th chevron glyph locked (been awhile since I watched the movie). All glyphs were relief/recess carved into the moving ring panel

With SG-1, all chevrons became identical and only the top most chevron was pneumatic, side chevrons lit as the top pneumatic one 'locked'. All glyphs were raised on the moving ring panel. Everything else was pretty much identical as they just pulled molds & cleaned up the deterioration damage of the inner & outer ring pannel sections.

Curiously enough, the production upper & lower stargate SG-1 Stargate half blueprints that I have & that I've seen others have are a hybrid mix of the above. You can see in the 1st post of Kwalsh0000's that the SG-1 Production blueprints have the 'windowed' top chevron and there's notes to the right on the next chevron with a dotted outline that say's the side chevrons are suposed to 'lock' (ie be pneumatic), if he posted the bottom gate print it would say on it the glyphs are to be raised. Some of this is mentioned in one of the extra features, but more or less it shows budget constraints and what was done to simplify the gate to make it reliable, they even bragged about how reliable the gate was and it never miss-dialed when SG-1 was filming the dialing sequences.

I forgot I had a pic of the lower half blueprint in my photobucket. This is just a portion of my stargate stuff

Very nice collection there SG RB. Esp the foothold armor, always liked that design! Loving the banner with teal'c on it aswell, goes well with the serpent guard near it.

Bah, come on Cheech get the rest of your collection photographed :p ..dying to see it :)

I'm uploading pics now of what's handy. The Legends replica Jaffa Staff, QMx 302, & some other things I got from SDS (prototype SG mirror & coasters, even the prototype promo Mal pistol (the unassembled one) are all upstairs burried atm. I was told the TER is a lightspeed f.a. (no cert with it, but it has clean/clear MGM copyright marks on it, & was a good deal for the price). Took pics of the latest jaffa front armor plate & zoomed in on the spot that shows the prior red paintjob. Little silver 'gate from ICONS episode & stunt nightvision gogles are from Legend's latest buy it now auctions. 'Gate w/base is from SDS's collection also. I still haven't gotten to Kinko's to get the latest blueprints scanned but I have a print of the Glyphs and the offworld gate w/ base & steps with dimension callouts. I know there's one or 2 things I'm forgetting that I got recently but they're slipping my mind, as most of my stuff is packed up to keep drywall dust from the remodel off of it.

Amazing stuff!

I only have a few items, but nothing special. One of which is the Ra dagger from the first run shortly after the movie:

I hope to soon get a Horus guard helmet, which I will then convert into an animatronic. (I do a lot of work with robotics, animatronics, and microcontrollers)

Finally finished painting my staff weapon! Here's what it looked like when this post popped up:
