Stargate Props : Show us yours!

That is one big aul tent topper silver skyes! I can only imagine the look on your face when it arrived :p

Have you decided how you are going to display it? Could make a throne/seat and use the topper as a back portion then have all bow before you...muhahaa

That Ancient weapon is sweet. They really put alot of detail into it right down to the ancient writing on the handle.

Anyone win anything in the latest rounds? I dont think I can hide my accounts from the missus till August..damn you Propworx! :p

I got some pics of me in the Atlantis costume, minus the teeny shirt.

The last of the stuff I've won from Propworx. This will probably be it for me for awhile unless I can snag a Jaffa belt (missed the last 2). Recent events at work have changed my priorities to socking more cash away and paying off debt vs expanding any branch of the collection.

Those are the broke. Shards of the broken zpm, awesome pics, I was bidding for that piece and it just wet to high, kudos on the awesome addictions!

Is that a gate piece Propworx offer in their auctions or is this the gate piece which was part of that contest which was linked on Propworx's homepage?

Anyway congrats for these nice pieces ;)

Wow cheers for sharing the Stargate goodness! The gate segment is bigger than I thought!

Zat, looks like you have enough zats and TER's to arm a small force. Love it!

Yea, the small bag is the shards. The gate segment is the 1st front top piece that was up for auction. I think that contest piece was a pice that went on the right side of the chevron. I was surprised by the sement. It has the top outer ring area attached.

I don't think all the shards are there, I think its roughly 1/2 to 2/3rds of the needed shards. I don't think gluing it back together and molding it would really be an option. There's lots of little cracks in it so demolding could possibly break it up even further. It was made with something like Smooth-on Smash Plastic or some other brittle clear casting resin since it was a 'break' model. I'm thinking of getting a pelican case for it and putting the damage side down and rigging a small LED light source with a toggle switch to the side of the case.

I have 2 of the ZPM's from the SciFi hero run, at least having this one lets me accuratize those as much as possible. Biggest thing I noticed right off the bat is that they did use black silicone to do all the lines. The fan repo ones have that all molded in and has to be painted a semi-gloss or flat black by hand (lots of masking). I haven't measured the dimensions to compare yet... honestly I'm not sure where I stashed the SciFi Hero repos atm.

Thanks for the info regarding the scifi hero ZPM. I have one as well and want to make it more screen accurate, any more info you find would be awesome!

Due to the mentioning of the break-away ZPM on scifihero, I made a post over there to mainly show the difference between LT's ZPM and the break-away ZPM in my collection. You can find direct comparison pics here:
http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r53/cheech9898/zpm/
and the nitty gritty of the comparison
Noted differences are LT's is wider, at about 6 inches while the Break-away ZPM is 5 inches (like the production art calls out). Given the fact the whole end is broken off it probably was 11 inches long originallyand its about 10 inches long now in its broken state. LT's ZPM is about 12.5 inches long. The very top of the Break-away ZPM is painted with a flat black paint on the webbing and triangles. All the black webbing on the lid sides, around where the top 'lid' seam line is, and on the bottom body is some type of calk. I think its most likely black silicone weatherstrip adhesive. LT molded all the webbing into his ZPM so you have to hand paint it and possibly mask the webbing off to get clean lines.
