"STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant... Now with PROTOTYPE PICS!!!

Re: References needed "STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant...

Here's a couple caps from the scene I was talking about. Sorry for the crappy caps, maybe defstartrooper can cap the scene. Watching it you can see he flips it over but it's so fast, the second cap shows what I think is the reverse and on screen I see what I think is a copy of the front, I think you can just make it out.

I know... not very definitive... :$
It seems the same design of the front... Like two identic halves glued together (and this also makes sense...)

My thoughts exactly, it would make sense as they wouldn't have to worry about which way the prop was laying on the actor and as the Eye of Ra was the predominant symbol of the movie...

Cool... I just watched the scene where Dr. Jackson first receives the amulet and he appears to turn it over as well but again, it's very fast and the HD version my reveal better caps.

Re: References needed "STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant...

In those two caps above it's the same side being seen, not front and back.

Re: References needed "STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant...

hmm i think the rim should be narrower, almost ending as soon as the outside pattern drops off

Re: References needed "STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant...

I just think the rim shouldn't be so wide, perhaps a third of it's current width

Re: References needed "STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant...

I think I know what you mean, but if you look at the otstanding screencaps posted here (and at the following image), you'll see that the rim is clearly visible, and the size seems quite accurate... And when the 3D model will be machined, the sharp edge will be smoothed out, so it will loose some width...

yes, i see a rim as well. When the brass will be polished it will indeed soften the corner and make it look a bit smaller. Also, the rim in my drawing is already very small, only 0.012"

Re: References needed "STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant...

This appears to be the only actual shot of the reverse side in the movie it's not terribly clear but it does appear to be different to the front face.

Re: References needed "STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant...

yes indeed, they probably flipped the negative in that shot, because the graphic is mirrored

Re: References needed "STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant...

This is what I see in that graphic:

Not mirrored as far as I can see.

Re: References needed "STARGATE" movie "Eye of Ra" pendant...

So, we have established that the back is never shown in the movie. Anyone know of any real props surfacing or images from behind the scenes footage that might shed some light on what the back looked like?

I still think that the most logical answer is that there was no graphic on the back - how many pendants really has that?
