Here's a little comparison between my several year old MGM studios jacket
and the new Scifihero.net jacket. My MGM jacket was washed at one point,
because one of the cats knocked over an entire glass of Diet Coke onto it.
This was before I knew that the MGM jacket was a "Dry Clean Only" item.
Needless to say, aboyt 50% of the color was washed out.
From all reports, the SFH.net jacket is dry clean only as well, but somone
told me you can set the dye with vinegar in the wash, so We'll see in the
future if I need to.
The MGM jackets were supposedly "copies" of the screen used jackets.
They have decent front pockets and NO internal pockets, just a lousy
webbing loop to clip your pager to (for those times when you're waiting
for the studio to call you. ).
The SFH jacket has all the styling of the MGM/screen used jackets,
and additional features the MGM jackets did not have.
It has a removeable quilted liner, internal check book/wallet pocket
(in BOTH the liner AND the jacket itself.) and full velcro attachment points
so you can easily swap your Stargate team patches onto the jacket.
I wore tha jacket last week when the temps got down around 20 degrees
or so, and I was perfectly warm. My hands and face were cold, but the rest
of me was warm. Stupid cheap gloves anyway...
The price is reasonable for what you get, and less than what I paid for
my MGM jacket when they were first offered.

Also, it should be noted that I have actually re-dyed my MGM jacket once.
It's darker than it was after being washed originally, but nowhere
near the correct color.
So, in a nutshell, the SFH jacket is well worth the money. Period.
